The Grant will be awarded to qualified and deserving young Malaysians, between the ages of 22-35, to participate in collaborative projects or programmes of up to three months at internationally-recognised host institutions, corporations, agencies and organisations of their choice to enrich their learning and research experience in pursuit of excellence in their respective fields.
The Merdeka Award Grant was first announced in 2012 as a signature programme of the Merdeka Award.
It is designed to identify outstanding young Malaysians who personify the Spirit of Merdeka and those who demonstrate a commitment to excellence.
