Golfers in Malaysia can now take part in Malaysia’s biggest and most popular national amateur golf series, the Prudential Astro Masters 2015 which will be played at 21 golf courses nationwide.
Astro customers who are keen to participate will be entitled to a special registration fee of RM 288 while non-Astro customers can register at a fee of RM388 at www.golfpeople.com.my.
For the first time in the series, at least 8,000 golfers will be involved in the qualifying process from a total of 71 participating clubs.
Returning for the 18th consecutive year, the Prudential Astro Masters 2015 series will tee off on 19th March 2015 at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Selangor.
Five new golf courses have been added to the qualifying rounds this year including the challenging Labuan International Golf Club, Damai Golf & Country Club in Kuching, Penang Golf Cub (formerly known as Bukit Jambul GCC), Gunung Raya Golf Resort in Langkawi and Kelab Golf Seri Selangor.
This year’s grand finalists will be competing at the scenic Nirvana Bali Golf & Country Club and newly renovated Bali National Golf & Country Club in Bali, Indonesia.
The Best Gross and Best Nett winners from the grand finals will then be invited to compete in the final of the World Amateur Golf Championship at Belek, Turkey which is sponsored by World Amateur Golf Championship and Delta Trend Golf.
The total value of prizes to be given away for Prudential Astro Masters this year is almost RM 1 million.
This encompasses RM30,000 per round x 26 events (inclusive of National Final & Grand Final) and also the brand new premium vehicle, Citroen DS5 1.6 THP worth almost RM190,000 as a special hole-in-one prize.
In addition, Panasonic 50-inch LED TVs are up for grab as sure to win hole-in-one prizes for all 21 preliminary rounds besides the attractive goodie bags and lucky draw prizes.
Prudential Astro Masters 2015 is also the only amateur golfing event in the country that will have its highlights broadcasted on two channels, namely Astro Arena (CH 801) and Astro Super Sport 3 (CH 816).
In efforts to promote domestic golf tourism, Prudential Astro Masters 2015 is partnering Malindo air as the airline partner for this year’s national amateur golf series.
