The expert coffee roasters, San Francisco (SF) Coffee bids adieu to its first ever nationwide contest in collaboration with Payment Network Malaysia (PayNet), culminating its four-month long contest with a vibrant atmosphere as winners of the “Wave2Win” contest took home a variety of prizes worth RM 225,000.
Seamless and simple, the contest was open to anyone who spent RM 30 in a single receipt purchased with a MyDebit card at any SF Coffee outlet – designed in mind to complement the hustle and bustle life of consumers by encouraging a simple “wave” of their card for an efficient transaction to maximise convenience, sending them on their way with no long lines delaying their day.
“All that we’ve achieved, we owe it entirely to our loyal customers who were by our side from the very beginning. The ‘Wave2Win’ contest served as a dual platform for us to give back to society: 1) to extend our humble gratitude to our consumers for their dedication and 2) to offer them ease of convenience amidst their busy schedules,” – Ms. Koo Sue San, General Manager of SF Coffee.
Since its launch in November 2018, SF Coffee outlets across Malaysia were alit with merriment as contestants from all walks of life: coffee enthusiasts, foodies and the like flocked to their nearest SF Coffee outlet hoping that lady luck is on their side with every wave made.
As a brand that champions creativity and individuality, the “Wave2Win” contest curated a range of prizes that would inspire, tantalise and invigorate all senses: sights, sounds, taste, touch, and smell, just as every SF Coffee outlet strives to accomplish.

Lady luck has shined upon two grand prize winners, Najwa Baharuddin and Chai Pei Chee as they waved their way to winning the grand prize: a La Marzocco coffee machine and coffee grinder that comes complete with professional coffee training by San Francisco Coffee themselves, worth RM40,000.
Shocked with excitement, 30-year-old Najwa Baharuddin hugged her mother upon realising she had won the grand prize.
Other lucky contestants walked away with a slew of other fun prizes including:
- 1 st prize: 5 x Specialized Tarmac Bicycles worth RM 10,000 each
- 2 nd prize: 4 x Sony Cameras with accessories worth RM 10,000 each
- 3 rd prize: 8 x iPhone X
