WeChat, the number one mobile social communication application in Malaysia, announced its partnership with Chatime, the top lifestyle tea provider in Malaysia.
WeChat users will get an opportunity to redeem and purchase 1 million cups of Chatime worth over RM6 million through digital coupons made available via the WeChat platform.
The main objective of this collaboration is to not only enhance the connectivity and interaction of WeChat users and reward them, but also to create a new trend of mobile engagement with its customers.
Chatime Malaysia has an “Official Account” on WeChat. Official Accounts provide the platform for brands to interact with their consumers.
Through this account, WeChat Malaysia users and Chatime fans will be able to receive the latest Chatime Malaysia’s updates and promotions. Customers are also allowed to share their opinions and queries through text, voice, or video messages.
From today until 27 October 2013, WeChat users will be able to purchase and enjoy their second cup of Chatime at RM1 with every purchase of a normal priced beverage.
In order to redeem this exclusive promotion, they would need to simply present the voucher on their phone upon ordering at any Chatime outlets in Malaysia.
Chatime Malaysia will also be running a series of roadshows in the Klang Valley, Penang, Ipoh and Johor from now until 27 October 2013, to inform the public about the 1 million cup celebration.
