POWERMAN Malaysia 2025 by OMODA | JAECOO celebrated its 20th anniversary with 4,500 athletes from 30 countries in the world’s biggest duathlon.
What began as a modest race with 200 athletes in 2002 has transformed into a world-renowned event. POWERMAN Malaysia, the world’s largest duathlon, celebrated its 20th anniversary this year with a record-breaking gathering of over 4,500 participants from 30 countries, powered by presenting partner OMODA | JAECOO.
The high-energy 3-day event, held from 20 to 22 June 2025, took over Dataran Putrajaya with inspiring sportsmanship, international camaraderie, and unforgettable athletic feats.
At the heart of the event was the run-bike-run format, featuring:
- Classic distance: 10km run, 60km bike, 10km run
- Short distance: 5km run, 30km bike, 5km run
- POWERKIDS races: for children aged 6–15
Participants raced through scenic routes in Malaysia’s administrative capital, turning the city into a hub of endurance and excitement. The race wasn’t just about physical performance—it became a celebration of inclusion and community.
Championing Inclusion: BikeIsAble Kids Steal the Show
One of the most heartwarming highlights of the weekend was the participation of over 20 children from BikeIsAble, a local initiative that supports children with severe physical disabilities.
With the help of their caregivers, family, and friends, these young heroes completed the course in specially designed buggies, crossing the finish line to thunderous cheers.
Their courageous spirit captured the essence of what POWERMAN truly stands for—perseverance, inclusion, and inspiration.
Top Winners from Across the Region

The competitive field included athletes from all over the world. In the Classic Male Open Category, Raymund Torio from the Philippines clinched first place with an impressive time of 2:50:59.
Meanwhile, Malaysia’s very own Esther Joy Chen triumphed in the Classic Female Open Category, finishing in 3:11:40.
Flagging off the races were Dato’ TPr. Fadlun Bin Mak Ujud, President of Putrajaya Corporation, and Emily Lek, Vice President of OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia.
The duathlon was led by the futuristic JAECOO J7 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), reinforcing the event’s alignment with innovation and sustainability.
