The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 15 continues to deliver intense action and breakout performances as Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG) extend their perfect record in Week 3.

With eight games won and none lost, the defending champions are now just one more 2-0 victory away from securing a spot in the playoffs and taking another step toward the new MPL Immortal Cup.

On Seru Saturday, SRG faced off against former MPL titans TODAK (TDK) in what was billed as one of the biggest matchups of the week.

But despite the hype, SRG left no doubts about their dominance with a clinical 2-0 win, led by none other than their star Mid Laner, Hazziq “Stormie” Rizwan.

Stormie Dominates with Kimmy in MPL Debut

Living up to his “Mage Prodigy” nickname, Stormie debuted the newly revamped hero Kimmy in MPL Malaysia and immediately demonstrated why he’s one of the most feared Mid Laners in the region.

His performance was nothing short of stellar, earning him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the match. His fast adaptation and ability to control the battlefield proved to be the difference-maker in both games.

YumS Reaches 2,000 Career Assists Milestone

While Stormie impressed with his raw mechanical skill, SRG’s Roamer, Muhammad “YumS” Suhairi, hit a historic milestone that further solidifies his legacy in MPL Malaysia.

With a total of 2,006 assists, YumS now holds the record for the most assists in league history, surpassing Team Vamos’ veteran Xorn, who has 1,882.

Even more poetic is that YumS achieved this feat against his former team, TODAK, where he competed for four seasons (Seasons 8 to 12).

This emotional and triumphant return highlighted just how far the experienced Roamer has come since his early days.

Past Meets Present: Selangor Red Giants OG Esports and TODAK’s World Esports Storyline

This match also held international significance, as it featured Malaysia’s past and upcoming representatives at the World Esports Championship (WEC).

SRG, the 2024 WEC champions in Riyadh, chose to skip the 2025 national qualifiers to focus solely on MPL Season 15.

TODAK seized the opportunity and qualified in their place. However, the match served as a reminder of SRG’s elite status on both local and global stages.

TODAK had recently revamped their roster with Indonesian imports Gebe and Magma from MPL Indonesia’s Alter Ego. Unfortunately, the new additions were not enough to stop SRG’s momentum.

Homebois Stay in the Title Race

HB’s Izanami snaps a wefie on stage after an assured victory over TR on Seru Saturday.

Elsewhere, Homebois (HB) kept their championship hopes alive with a strong 2-0 victory over Team Rey (TR). Having now won all four of their matches—dropping only a single game—HB are hot on SRG’s heels with 11 points, just one shy of the league leaders.

The consistency of Gold Laner Adam “Melqt” Hamidun and Mid Laner Mohammad “Izanami” Irwandy Lim has been crucial in HB’s campaign.

Their synergy and in-game awareness are helping HB look more and more like true title contenders as the season progresses.

VMS Prove Resilient with Two Comebacks

Another major story from Week 3 was Team Vamos (VMS), who showcased incredible resilience by coming from behind twice to secure crucial 2-1 victories over DX Soul (DXS) and Monster Vicious (MV).

Their match against MV was a particularly tactical affair, with Chibi piloting the high-mobility hero Ling to perfection.

His map control and decision-making gave VMS the edge in macro play, allowing them to secure the series and move up the leaderboard with 9 points.

Week 4: Royal Rumble Ahead

Week 4 Schedule MPL Malaysia Season 15

As the Regular Season hits its halfway point, Week 4 promises a “Royal Rumble” of sorts. Title contenders HB, TDK, and VMS will face off in a thrilling mini round-robin, each desperate to outdo the other.

TODAK, currently sitting fifth with 6 points, will be looking to turn their season around. Matches against VMS—who beat them in the WEC qualifiers—and undefeated HB present the perfect stage for a statement comeback.

Meanwhile, SRG can capitalize on their rivals clashing by securing another clean win to create some distance at the top of the table.

MPL Malaysia Season 15 is proudly supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), Rakan Muda, Esports Integrated (ESI), Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF), and Persatuan Stadium Malaysia (PSM).

Tickets are available on Ticket2U, and fans can follow all matches live via the official MPL Malaysia Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok channels.

With Stormie’s brilliance, YumS’ record-setting night, and SRG’s unstoppable momentum, Week 3 of MPL Malaysia Season 15 was nothing short of electrifying.

But with fierce matchups looming in Week 4, fans are guaranteed even more drama and excitement as teams race for a spot in the Playoffs and the coveted MPL Immortal Cup.
