The PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) SEA Summer 2025 has officially crowned its champion—Thailand’s eArena—following an electrifying Grand Finals that took place over three days at BASKETHALL GBK in Jakarta.
Fans from across Southeast Asia gathered in the Indonesian capital, with many flying in from abroad, to witness the intense matches and cheer on their favourite teams.
A Celebration of Esports Excellence
The PMSL SEA Summer 2025 Grand Finals featured the top 16 teams from the league stage battling it out for a massive USD 200,000 prize pool, a championship trophy, and three golden tickets to the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, happening from 25 July to 3 August.
Supported by TECNO as the Official Smartphone Partner, CelcomDigi as the Official Connectivity Partner, and BASKETHALL GBK as the Official Venue Partner, this year’s tournament was both a regional showdown and a showcase of PUBG MOBILE’s growing global influence.
Malaysian Teams Put Up a Strong Fight
Representing Malaysia at the Grand Finals were CelcomDigi Alliance (CDAL) and SEM9. CDAL finished in 7th place, while SEM9 ended their run in 12th.
SEM9 did grab a WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) on Day 2, and CDAL nearly clinched one on Day 3—showing resilience and determination despite the fierce competition.
However, eArena’s dominant momentum, especially heading into the final day, proved too much to match.
eArena’s Historic Victory
eArena was the only team to achieve Smash Points of 148 by Match 2 on the final day. Then, in Match 3, they secured a crucial victory over Team Secret, earning a WWCD and effectively securing the championship.
Their consistent dominance throughout the Grand Finals not only won them the title but also secured their spot in the upcoming PMWC 2025, along with the other two top-performing teams.
Eugene Chin, Country Manager for Tencent Games Malaysia, shared his thoughts:
“We’re incredibly proud of CDAL and SEM9 for making it to the Grand Finals. I also want to acknowledge HomeBois, MEC, New Era, and Todak for their strong performances during the league stage.
Thank you to TECNO and CelcomDigi for your unwavering support. Congratulations to all the teams, and best of luck in Riyadh!”
