PUBG MOBILE Version 4.0 Update Brings Ghosts, Kaiju, and More

PUBG MOBILE Version 4.0 Spooky Soiree

If you thought the battlegrounds couldn’t get any scarier, think again. PUBG MOBILE has just dropped its Version 4.0 Update, and it’s packed with ghosts, ghouls, magical brooms, Kaiju-sized action, and more seasonal surprises that will keep players on their toes.

From spooky new gameplay modes to world-class collaborations, this update blends tricks, treats, and sheer terror in ways fans have never seen before.

A Haunted Experience: Spooky Soiree Mode

The centerpiece of this update is the Spooky Soiree Mode, now live on Erangel, Livik, and Rondo. Players can team up with Ghostie, a personal ghost companion that follows you throughout matches.

Ghostie comes equipped with customizable main and passive skills, ranging from Floating Balloon to Guardian Shield and Scan abilities.

Eliminated players won’t be left out either—they return as Prankster Ghosts, wielding special powers like Bomb, Shield, and Scan to disrupt surviving opponents.

And if you’ve ever dreamed of flying, the Magic Broom makes its debut. Not only does it carry two players, but it also delivers a speed boost and even a sweep attack to knock enemies back.

Add in the Haunted Sight, a spooky-cute aiming accessory, and you’re in for an eerie but entertaining ride.

To top it off, Wraithmoor Mansion appears across Erangel and Livik—a haunted estate filled with magical mirrors, floating furniture, and Scaredy Ghosts hiding in plain sight as everyday objects.

Mid-match, players might even stumble upon the Performing Dead, a ghostly rock concert that offers rewards, extra loot, and hints about nearby enemies.

Seasonal Celebrations: Mid-Autumn and Day of Gathering

PUBG MOBILE also embraces real-world traditions with special festival-themed content. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, players can visit a moonlit pavilion to collect Mooncakes that restore both health and energy.

Later, from October 20 to November 2, the Day of Gathering brings colorful skulls, marigolds, and festive chocolates for players to enjoy while battling it out.

World of Wonder Gets Bigger and Better

Creators will love the World of Wonder (WOW) 1.0 launch, complete with new visual programming tools, vehicles, items, and an upgraded incentive program.

With a $10 million prize pool, creators worldwide can monetize their content, with top talent earning up to $200,000. The brand-new WOW Pass system also gives players a progression track with rewards, perks, and reinvestment into the creator ecosystem.

Classic Mode & Metro Royale Upgrades

Classic Mode isn’t left behind either. Players now have access to the Mortar weapon, allowing for devastating direct and long-range attacks. Realistic reloading mechanics and smoother weapon handling make the gunplay more immersive than ever.

In Erangel, new interactive elements like a Ferris wheel and swings bring lighthearted fun between intense battles.

Meanwhile, Metro Royale Chapter 28 introduces fresh collectibles, Ghost Crates filled with rare loot, and a new Solo Mode where players can test their skills one-on-one.

The Weekend Market lets players trade items at higher values, and new collab bosses are on the way.

Asymmetrical Survival: UNFAIL Mode

One of the most anticipated features is UNFAIL Mode, launching at the end of September. This new asymmetrical survival experience pits one powerful

Predator against four Survivors. While the Predator hunts using formidable abilities, the Survivors must activate terminals and escape before they’re eliminated. It’s a high-stakes chase that adds a whole new dynamic to the battlegrounds.

Kaiju No. 8 Collaboration

The update also brings anime action to the game with the PUBG MOBILE x Kaiju No. 8 collaboration. From September 5–30, players can unlock character sets for fan favorites like Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro, along with themed weapons, vehicles, and even a Kaiju transformation mechanic.

Themed gear such as the Kaiju No. 8 Parachute and Buggy make every drop feel cinematic, while exclusive draws and prize paths deliver premium rewards.

Crazy Chicken Day Event

For something lighter, PUBG MOBILE introduces the Crazy Chicken Day Event. Each week, players can squad up to earn rewards, climb leaderboards with bonuses, and even get the chance to win random cash prizes.

It’s a quirky yet rewarding addition that highlights the community spirit of the game.

A New Season with Firearm Combat Power

Finally, Version 4.0 kicks off Cycle 9 Season 26, packed with new tier rewards, legendary items, and the all-new Firearm Combat Power system. This system lets players accumulate combat power across matches and climb both global and regional leaderboards.

Ace-ranked players and above can unlock Path of Glory rewards, including exclusive badges, emotes, and dynamic titles to show off their dominance.

PUBG MOBILE Version 4.0 isn’t just an update—it’s a full-blown spooky season extravaganza. With haunting new modes, exciting collaborations, festival events, and massive improvements across multiple game systems, this patch delivers something for everyone.

Whether you’re chasing ghosts, soaring on a magic broom, or battling Kaiju, the battlegrounds have never felt more alive—or more terrifying.
