The stage was set at centralwOrld, Bangkok, where fans from across Southeast Asia gathered for a weekend of heart-racing action at the PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) SEA Fall 2025.
After three days of non-stop battles, Vietnam’s powerhouse D’XAVIER emerged as the champions, securing their second PMSL SEA title and cementing their legacy in regional PUBG MOBILE esports.
A Grand Finals Filled with Energy
The Grand Finals brought together the top 16 teams in Southeast Asia, each fighting for glory, a share of the USD 200,000 prize pool, and the highly coveted slots to the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) 2025, which will be hosted in Thailand from 24 November to 14 December 2025.
Spectators filled the venue, with some flying in from neighboring countries just to witness the intense clutches, sharp snipes, and explosive team fights. The atmosphere was electric as fans cheered passionately for their favorite teams and players.
Malaysian Teams Break New Ground
For Malaysia, PMSL SEA Fall 2025 marked a significant milestone. Todak and Homebois x Maqna Esports (HBME) reached the Grand Finals for the very first time.
Todak shone briefly with a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) on Day 2 but struggled to maintain consistency, finishing in 13th place overall. HBME, meanwhile, displayed an aggressive style of play but fell short in placement points, ending the tournament at 15th place.
Despite the results, both teams’ participation was a historic achievement and a vital learning opportunity. Their experience against SEA’s top squads will undoubtedly strengthen their strategies for future competitions.
D’XAVIER’s Road to Victory
D’XAVIER’s journey was far from smooth. The Vietnamese squad had a rough patch during the league stages but came alive during the Grand Finals.
They dominated the leaderboards over the first two days, showcasing resilience and chemistry. On Day 3, their victory in Match 6 delivered the knockout punch— a decisive WWCD that secured their championship run.
With this triumph, D’XAVIER joins Indonesian teams Alter Ego and BOOM Esports as two-time PMSL SEA champions, further proving Vietnam’s rising dominance in the regional scene.
Looking Ahead to PMGC 2025
While Malaysia’s Todak and HBME will return to the drawing board, the country’s hopes now rest on CelcomDigi Alliance (CDAL), who will represent Malaysia at the PMGC 2025 in Thailand.
CDAL will face off against some of the best in the world, including D’XAVIER, Vampire Esports, and eArena, both of whom secured PMGC slots through the point race.
For Vietnam, Team Secret and Team Flash will also carry their nation’s flag to the global stage. Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Alter Ego narrowly clinched their PMGC slot, edging out fan favorite Bigetron By Vitality (BTR) by just three points in a nail-biting finish.
The Bigger Picture of SEA Esports
Eugene Chin, Country Manager for Tencent Games Malaysia, praised the achievements of all participating teams.
