PUBG MOBILE has officially unleashed its Version 4.2 Update, inviting players into a mystical new chapter where nature itself becomes part of the battlefield.
Available until March 10, the update introduces Primewood Genesis, a themed mode that transforms familiar maps into living, breathing arenas overrun by corrupted flora and powered by ancient energy.
Alongside this, Version 4.2 also delivers major upgrades to Classic Mode, World of Wonder (WOW), Home Mode, and Metro Royale, making it one of the most content-packed updates yet.
A Living Battlefield in Primewood Genesis
At the heart of Version 4.2 is the Primewood Genesis themed mode, where players explore the Arborum Sanctuary across Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok. These maps are now overtaken by mystical vegetation as the Primewood awakens, creating both danger and opportunity.
Players can destroy Infected Flora to unlock vine-covered supply crates or venture into the Corrupting Swamp to take down Corrupting Flowers and purify the land.
Adding a unique cooperative element, players can also befriend Barkle, a powerful treant guardian that fights alongside the squad. By planting Buds across the map, players can grow Fruits that provide loot or summon Barkle to assist in combat.
When the Primewood is fully purified, powerful new items become available, including Targeting Vines, which restrain enemies and vehicles, and the Bramblewood Scorpion, a plant-based vehicle that can burrow underground, launch spike bombs, and strike enemies with deadly pincers.
Mystical Abilities Change the Way You Play
The themed mode introduces magical abilities that redefine how players move and fight. The Prime Eye, found in the Primewood Heart, offers a bird’s-eye view of the battlefield and allows players to deploy shields, teleport, heal, and even spawn Corrupting Flowers.
Meanwhile, Florawings give players the ability to sprout wings, dash through the air, perform high-altitude flights, and unleash pollen flashes that temporarily blind enemies. These additions make Primewood Genesis feel more like a fantasy battleground layered on top of PUBG MOBILE’s tactical shooter core.
World of Wonder Gets Smarter
Version 4.2 also brings a huge upgrade to World of Wonder (WOW). The improved AI Smart Assistant now supports video-based animation generation, text-based grouped object creation, and a floating resizable window, making map creation easier than ever.
Creators can now introduce PvE enemies like Corrupting Flowers with advanced AI behaviour and use items such as Vine Manipulation, Sticky Bombs, and the Explosive Bow to design more dynamic combat scenarios. With better templates, tags, auto-translation, and sharing tools, WOW becomes a more powerful platform for creativity and social play.
Home Mode Blooms with Style
Home Mode receives a stylish upgrade with the arrival of the Rose Mansion theme. Players can now decorate with new styles via the Home Lucky Spin, Craftman’s Pass, and Home Style system. A new Parking Lot Gameplay Season and Home Competition allow players to showcase their dream homes, earn points, and even win cash prizes. Community voting also plays a bigger role, giving players influence over which designs rise to the top.
Smoother and Smarter Classic Mode
Classic Mode sees important quality-of-life improvements. Players can now team up in the Training Grounds, making it easier to practise with friends. Weapon balance has been refined, with 7.62mm rifles receiving damage boosts, while shotguns get slightly reduced damage for fairer close-range combat.
Movement is smoother too, thanks to cooperative climbing, better prone turning, faster throwable chaining, and improved parachute behaviour. These upgrades make firefights feel more fluid and tactical.
New Rewards and the Glacix Arbiter
In Metro Royale Chapter 30, the Glacix Arbiter melee weapon makes its debut. This powerful Fabled weapon carries over between seasons and can even be gifted to friends. The update also adds new mutant plant bosses, Vine Crates, and improved loot quality displays, making Metro Royale more rewarding than ever.
The 2026H1 Season Series introduces a long-term progression system, allowing players to earn customisable medals and exclusive rewards over six months. Season 28 further enhances ranked play with new protection events, promotion matches, and expanded Ultimate Royale maps.
