Creativity, compassion and community come together beautifully in the 2026 “Colours of Care, Days of Joy” calendar, unveiled by CARiNG Pharmacy, Georgetown Pharmacy and Wellings Pharmacy under the BIG CARiNG Group.
More than a simple yearly planner, the calendar stands as a meaningful tribute to the artistic brilliance of neurodivergent children — and the value of giving their voices the space they deserve.
Launched at The Grey Box @ GMBB on 26 November 2025, this year’s edition showcases eight original artworks created by siblings Zayn, 13, and Nafeesah, 10, produced through a heartfelt collaboration with the START Program, an initiative dedicated to empowering children with learning challenges through art.
A Celebration of Expression Through Art
Each artwork featured in the calendar reflects a sincere, imaginative interpretation of the world as seen through the eyes of the two siblings. Their illustrations serve as the emotional core of the calendar, celebrating everyday moments, colours, and feelings with honesty and openness.
Wong Siew Lai, Chief Marketing Officer of BIG CARiNG Group, expressed deep admiration for the young artists’ talent.
“Every year, we are humbled by the honesty these young artists bring to their work. Zayn and Nafeesah’s stories remind us that creativity isn’t just art — it’s communication, self-expression and confidence. By featuring their work, we hope more families and communities recognise the strengths within neurodivergence.”
The Artists Behind the Calendar
Zayn, who is autistic and high-functioning with ADHD, discovered his love for drawing at the age of three. What began as simple sketches gradually developed into intricate illustrations filled with structure, detail and imagination. For Zayn, the process of drawing brings focus and calm, helping him express the world from his unique viewpoint.
His younger sister, Nafeesah — who lives with dyslexia and ADHD — brings a different but equally vibrant artistic voice. Drawn to bright colours and cheerful imagery, her illustrations are filled with whimsical scenes, playful shapes and what her family fondly calls “happy hues.” Art has become her way to relax after long days, allowing her to channel optimism and joy into her work.
Their combined artistic contributions form the heart of the 2026 calendar, offering a powerful reminder that neurodivergent creativity is not only valid but extraordinary.
A Long-Term Commitment to Inclusion
This year’s calendar continues a meaningful five-year tradition of the pharmacy group working with young neurodivergent artists.
Previous initiatives include:
- 2022 LemmeLearn Calendar
- 2023 LemmeLearn Christmas e-cash voucher graphics
- 2024 Raya e-cash voucher by artist Danial Kushairi
- 2025 Raya Packet designs by ARTJAMILA
Each project reflects the group’s ongoing commitment to elevating neurodivergent voices, promoting inclusion, and supporting creative self-expression in Malaysian communities.
The Role of the START Program
Strengthening this mission is the partnership with the START Program, established in 2022 with AIMS Therapy Learning Centre. START focuses on nurturing artistic confidence among children with learning challenges, especially those on the autism spectrum.
According to Pn Rohani Ahmad, Founder and Program Director, “Art gives many of the neurodivergent children we work with a voice. It’s a way for them to process feelings, find focus and share parts of themselves that words sometimes can’t capture. Collaborations like this uplift them and affirm that their perspectives matter.”
A Proud Moment for the Family
The emotional significance of the project was especially meaningful for the artists’ mother, Pn Wan Arnis, who shared her pride in seeing her children’s work celebrated on such a meaningful platform.
“Both of my children enjoy drawing, and it has always been their way of expressing themselves. To see their artwork featured this way means so much to our family.”
The launch event offered attendees a behind-the-scenes look at Zayn and Nafeesah’s creative journey, deepening appreciation for their imagination and dedication.
