Dew Challenge Season 2

Malaysia’s esports battleground is heating up once again as Mountain Dew and Honor of Kings officially launch Dew Challenge Season 2, marking a bold new chapter in one of the country’s largest community gaming tournaments.

Bigger in scale, richer in gameplay integration, and offering a massive RM750,000 prize pool, Season 2 signals a major leap forward for Malaysia’s fast-growing mobile esports ecosystem.

Building on the success of its inaugural season, Dew Challenge Season 2 expands into a nationwide push that welcomes rising esports talents, professional players, and casual gamers alike.

With exclusive in-game items, immersive brand integrations, and a five-month competitive season running until June 2026, the tournament aims to energise the Malaysian gaming community like never before.

Level Up in the Gorge: Mountain Dew Enters Honor of Kings

One of the biggest highlights of Dew Challenge Season 2 is its deepened in-game collaboration with Honor of Kings, the world’s most-played mobile MOBA. Starting 20 December 2025 until 9 January 2026, players can take part in the special in-game event titled “Show Your Stripes!”.

By completing themed missions during the event period, players will earn event coins that can be redeemed for exclusive Mountain Dew-designed cosmetics. These include the vibrant Mountain Dew Major Melon Avatar Frame and the Major Melon Booster – Flowborn’s Headgear, both available for a limited time only.

In addition, all registered participants of Dew Challenge Season 2 will receive an exclusive in-game title banner, allowing players to proudly showcase their participation and stand out in the Gorge. This title banner is reserved strictly for tournament participants, adding an extra layer of prestige to the competition.

To further enhance immersion, Honor of Kings will feature a Mountain Dew-themed in-game environment from 20 December 2025 to 21 January 2026. Players will notice a glowing pink Mountain Dew round-start barrier at the beginning of battles, while the familiar Healing Dew item transforms into a visually striking Major Melon bottle, reinforcing the collaboration throughout gameplay.

RM750,000 Prize Pool Fuels Malaysia’s Biggest Community Tournament

At the heart of Dew Challenge Season 2 is its RM750,000 prize pool, making it one of the most lucrative community-driven mobile esports tournaments in Malaysia. The competition unfolds across multiple qualifying stages, giving players from all skill levels a genuine opportunity to rise through the ranks.

According to Amy Gan, Vice President of Marketing at Etika Sdn. Bhd., the collaboration reflects a shared commitment between Mountain Dew and Honor of Kings to push boundaries and empower gaming communities.

“Esports in Malaysia is fast maturing into a structured, professional ecosystem with real pathways for talent. The inaugural Dew Challenge showcased the creativity of Malaysian gamers—and with Season 2, we’re levelling up the experience with more opportunities, more rewards, and more immersive gameplay,”.

Amy also highlighted that Season 2 was designed to be more accessible, ensuring that players nationwide can develop skills, engage with the community, and gain exposure on a larger competitive stage.
