This October, in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, HOMESOY once again reinforces its commitment to women’s health with the launch of its new campaign — “Stop That Dot Together.”
Building on last year’s success, which encouraged over 11,000 women to get screened, this sequel aims to break the fear and stigma surrounding breast cancer checks.
Instead of seeing screening as a medical chore, HOMESOY reframes it as an act of love and care — something women can do together with family and friends.
Beyond Awareness: Turning Screening into a Shared Act of Care
According to Ms. Chang Wan Ping, Marketing Director of Ace Canning Corporation, this year’s campaign focuses on emotional connection and empowerment.
“This year, ‘Stop That Dot Together’ is about turning screening into an act of love. We want every woman to know she’s never alone. HOMESOY stands with women — nourishing health every day while supporting the fight against breast cancer for the long term.”
To further strengthen its advocacy, HOMESOY has pledged RM50,000 to Cancer Research Malaysia in 2025, demonstrating its ongoing support for both research and awareness efforts.
Through this initiative, HOMESOY continues to position itself as more than just a household name in nutrition — but also a long-term ally in women’s wellness.

The Power of Nutrition: How Soya Supports Breast Health
Nutrition plays a vital role in both prevention and recovery. Studies have shown that Asian women, whose diets are naturally richer in soy — up to 10 times more than Western diets — tend to have lower breast cancer rates.
According to Ms. Soo Sek Yow, Head of Nutrition Unit at Ace Canning Corporation, the key lies in soya isoflavones — plant-based compounds that differ from human estrogen and may have protective effects against breast cancer.
“Soya is a powerful, plant-based food. It delivers high-quality protein while its isoflavones have shown links to reduced breast cancer risks, especially among Asian women,” she explained.
To further promote women’s wellness, HOMESOY introduced HOMESOY 3.0, a next-generation soya milk enriched with plant protein, dietary fibre, calcium, and vitamin D.
Naturally low in saturated fat, HOMESOY 3.0 supports healthy weight management and is suitable for women at all life stages — from young adults to mothers.
Understanding Breast Cancer in Malaysia
Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among Malaysian women.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 20 women in Malaysia will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Even more concerning, the Malaysia Cancer Registry (2017–2021) reveals that over 50% of cases are detected at Stage III or IV, when treatment options become limited.
Despite growing awareness, many women still delay screenings. Surveys show that 7 in 10 women believe they only need a check-up when symptoms appear — a dangerous misconception that can cost lives.
Dr. Nani Harlina Binti Md Latar, Consultant Breast & Endocrine Surgeon at Sunway Medical Centre, emphasized the importance of regular screening:
“Breast screening is not about fear — it’s about empowerment. Early detection is one of the strongest tools we have to protect women’s health.”
From Awareness to Action: How to Join the Campaign
To make screening more accessible and engaging, HOMESOY has launched the “Stop That Dot Together” campaign featuring a short video sharing inspiring survivor stories.
Women across Malaysia are invited to join a nationwide contest with HOMESOY’s wellness partners for a chance to win health and breast screening vouchers.
To participate, simply:
- Take a photo in pairs (with a friend or loved one)
- Post it on social media with #StopThatDotTogether
- Stand a chance to win screening vouchers and a 946ml pack of HOMESOY 3.0
In addition, women who undergo screening at participating hospitals — including Sunway Medical Centre, Columbia Asia Hospital, Thomson Hospital, KPJ, and others — will receive a complimentary pack of HOMESOY 3.0 as a token of encouragement.
Survivor Story: Strength in Sisterhood
The campaign also highlights real-life stories of courage, including that of Noor Shareena Aleeya Saiful Adli (Sheena), diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer at just 35. Despite the shock, Sheena turned her battle into a mission to help others.
Today, she motivates her loved ones, including her friend Mashita, to get screened early — embodying the campaign’s message that no woman fights alone.
“I encourage all women to get screened. Early detection saves lives, and ‘Stop That Dot Together’ reminds us that we are stronger when we take this step together,”
Standing Strong, Together
Through “Stop That Dot Together,” HOMESOY reminds Malaysians that breast cancer awareness is not just for October — it’s an ongoing journey of care, courage, and connection.
By combining nutrition, education, and emotional support, HOMESOY continues to lead the way in inspiring women to take charge of their health — one screening, one sip, and one act of love at a time.
