MWI 2025: The Rise of MLBB’s New Queens
From 15 to 19 July, the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) takes center stage with 16 elite women’s teams, including returning powerhouses and exciting newcomers.
Representing the pinnacle of female mobile esports, the tournament boasts the largest female lineup to date, thanks to qualifying rounds spanning 57 regions.
Teams like Team Vitality (Indonesia) and Natus Vincere PH (Philippines) headline Group A and C respectively, signaling intense showdowns and high expectations. MWI 2025 mirrors MSC’s format with added professional rigor, showcasing how far the women’s esports scene has come.
With a prize pool of USD 500,000, one of the largest ever in women’s esports, MWI is more than just a tournament—it’s a platform for inclusivity, recognition, and global exposure.

With the theme One Game, Two Champions, MLBB unites both MSC and MWI under one global banner. Together, they form the biggest MLBB esports experience ever at EWC 2025.
The USD 3 million prize pool for MSC matches the all-time high for any MLBB tournament, while MWI’s USD 500,000 sets a new benchmark for women’s competition.
This year’s event follows a historic 2024, where MSC became the most-watched tournament at EWC with 2.38 million peak viewers, and MWI became the most-watched women’s event with over 2.5 million hours watched, according to Esports Charts.
Innovating for Fair Play: Introducing Time Rewind
In a major move toward competitive integrity, MOONTON Games will debut a new tool called Time Rewind at both MSC and MWI. This system allows tournament officials to reset a match to an earlier point using back-end data, rather than relying on full rematches or pauses.
