Offline Action: Ddakji Master Challenge in Malaysia
But the fun doesn’t stop in the digital realm. In conjunction with the Squid Game collaboration, Free Fire Malaysia will launch a nationwide offline event — the Ddakji Master Challenge — giving players a chance to win big in real life.
Inspired by the traditional Korean game that featured in Squid Game’s opening scenes, the Ddakji Master Challenge will run from July 18 to 20 across Selangor, Johor, Penang, and Sabah.
Participants will compete to flip as many tiles (ddakji) as possible, with the top scorer nationwide taking home a grand cash prize of RM20,000.
To participate, challengers need to download Free Fire and register in-game starting July 11. It’s a battle of skill and reflexes, just like in the show — only this time, the stakes are cash, not survival.
