The globally popular mobile game officially kicked off its FRIEND FEST celebration with a historic achievement, breaking the Guinness World Record™ for the Most Pairs Performing a Choreographed Handshake (Multiple Venues).
The milestone moment sets the tone for a hybrid global event that blends in-game experiences with real-world activities, all centered around friendship, teamwork, and community.
Running from January 23 to February 16, PUBG MOBILE FRIEND FEST is designed to celebrate the bonds formed both on the battleground and beyond the screen.
The record-breaking moment took place on January 25, where 392 PUBG MOBILE players participated simultaneously across four major cities: Jakarta (Indonesia), Istanbul (Türkiye), Cairo (Egypt), and Islamabad (Pakistan).
Each venue was chosen for its strong connection to community life, symbolizing how PUBG MOBILE brings people together from diverse cultures and regions.
This achievement highlights the strength of PUBG MOBILE’s global player base and reinforces how friendships built in-game can translate into meaningful shared experiences in real life.
In-Game Celebrations: Friendship in Full Bloom
Inside the game, FRIEND FEST introduces new features that encourage cooperation and shared moments. Players exploring Erangel and Livik can visit Bonding Tree checkpoints, which transform into a romantic pink theme in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
These areas trigger special stage performances filled with unique visual effects and surprises that change depending on the number of players gathered — creating memorable, community-driven experiences.
To further strengthen team bonds, players can collect and gift floral arrangements to their teammates. Bouquets such as the Fated Dance Bouquet and Surprise Bouquet unlock special single-match items and allow players to customize their look with themed cosmetics like the Floral Veil and Sunflower Cover.

Meanwhile, in Paris, the FRIEND FEST community river cruise offered an unforgettable experience on the Seine. Players and content creators participated in interactive challenges inspired by gameplay, including head-to-head Team Deathmatch (TDM) matches and Peaky Blinders–style tasks.
Wearing classic newsboy caps, participants attempted physical challenges such as knocking down suspended airdrop targets, blending gaming culture with immersive real-world fun.
Indonesia Leads Community Activations
Indonesia has become a major hub for FRIEND FEST offline activities. From January 25 to February 25, selected cafes are hosting PUBG MOBILE Experience Zones, where players can join tournaments and participate in World of Wonder creative matches.
At Lapangan Banteng Park, fans can also join the Pan-for-Pan exchange from January 25–31, designing their own frying pan skins for a chance to win the coveted GOLDEN PAN prize.
Adding to the excitement, the Glass Room Tournament allows players to battle 1v1 inside a transparent arena, creating a high-energy spectacle for both participants and spectators.
