Starlight Boys

The global talent competition Starlight Boys continues to capture hearts around the world with its innovative format, showcasing incredible performances and emotional moments.

Contestants from various countries are competing for the chance of a lifetime: a spot in an international 9-member boy group chosen entirely by audience votes.

As the competition nears its thrilling finale, Episode 9 delivered one of the most emotional nights yet, with the second ranking announcement determining the top 18 finalists.

This episode not only highlighted the remarkable growth of the trainees but also left fans in awe with heartwarming farewells, inspiring comebacks, and shocking eliminations.

The Second Ranking Announcement: New Scores, New Stakes

In this round, the rankings were determined by a combination of global online votes, on-site votes during the position battle performances, and bonus points.

The twist?

All previous votes were reset, giving every trainee a fresh start. The 33 remaining contestants battled for survival, accumulating over 24.1 million votes on the iQIYI app. However, only the top 18 trainees were granted the opportunity to move forward to the grand finale.

The 18th and final spot went to Ling Qi, who narrowly edged out his close friend Hikari, who ranked 19th and was eliminated.

The heartbreaking elimination left Ling Qi emotional as he admitted, “I really wanted to continue this journey with Hikari.”

Later that night, Ling Qi discovered a letter and a parting gift from Hikari, which brought him to tears. “My heart hurts so much,” he said, reflecting the deep camaraderie that has developed among the trainees.

Another emotional goodbye came from Sun Jiayang, who also failed to advance. Taking to social media, Jiayang expressed his gratitude for the unforgettable experience.

Despite facing language barriers and personal struggles, he shared that the competition had been a journey of self-discovery and growth. “This experience has changed my life in ways I never imagined,” he wrote, leaving fans inspired by his resilience and positivity.
