100 Lamborghinis Roar from Putrajaya to Sepang

The sound of powerful engines filled the roads from Putrajaya to Sepang on 4 October 2026 as 100 Lamborghini supercars took part in the Konvoi Eksklusif Lamborghini 2026, one of the highlights of Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026.

Organised in collaboration with Lamborghini Owners Malaysia (LOM), the spectacular convoy brought together motoring enthusiasts and luxury car fans while also supporting Malaysia’s tourism promotion efforts under the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 (VM2026–2027) campaign.

The convoy was officially flagged off from IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, at 12 noon, before making its way along a coordinated route towards the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) in Selangor.

100 Lamborghinis Arrive at Sepang International Circuit

Upon reaching Sepang International Circuit, the 100 Lamborghini cars were showcased in an open-air exhibition, giving members of the public, motorsport enthusiasts and international visitors an opportunity to admire the iconic supercars up close.

For car enthusiasts, having 100 Lamborghinis gathered together was certainly a sight to remember. Beyond the excitement of seeing some of the world’s most recognisable performance cars, the event also demonstrated how automotive culture can be combined with tourism, entertainment and lifestyle experiences.

The flag-off ceremony was officiated by YBrs. Tuan Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, Political Secretary to the Minister of Finance, together with YBhg. Dato’ Shaharuddin Abu Sohot, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Their presence highlighted the importance of collaboration between the government and private sector in creating events that can promote Malaysia as an attractive destination for luxury lifestyle and automotive tourism.

More Than Just a Supercar Event

While Lamborghini was clearly one of the biggest attractions, Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 aims to offer something much bigger.

Held under the themes “Art, Culture, Speed, Together” and “Malaysia Moves Together”, the festival brings together motoring culture, entertainment and tourism promotion in one platform.

The event is designed to showcase Malaysia as a modern, dynamic and vibrant destination, particularly to international travellers who discover destinations through social media and digital platforms.

With spectacular cars, entertainment and cultural elements coming together, events such as this have the potential to generate content that travels beyond the physical venue and reaches audiences around the world.

Supporting Visit Malaysia 2026–2027

Support Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign

Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 is also part of Malaysia’s broader efforts to attract more international visitors during the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign.

According to the organisers, Malaysia welcomed 28.8 million international travellers between January and August 2026, representing a 1.8 per cent increase compared with 28.2 million visitors recorded during the same period in 2025.

Events such as Citrawarna Speed Festival can complement Malaysia’s tourism strategy by offering unique experiences that combine lifestyle, entertainment, automotive culture and local destinations.

The participation of international visitors and the extensive coverage generated through social media can also help introduce Malaysia to new audiences around the world.

Boosting Local Businesses and Tourism

The impact of an event like this goes beyond the cars and entertainment.

Through public-private partnerships, Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 is expected to create economic spillover opportunities for businesses in and around Putrajaya and Sepang, particularly within the hospitality, food and beverage, and retail sectors.

Visitors attending the festival may spend on hotels, restaurants, shopping and other tourism-related activities, helping local businesses benefit from increased visitor traffic.

This reflects the growing importance of tourism as a contributor to Malaysia’s economy. The Tourism Satellite Account 2025 recorded the national tourism industry’s contribution at 15.9 per cent of Malaysia’s GDP, with Gross Value Added of Tourism Industries (GVATI) reaching RM323.0 billion.

Malaysia Moves Together

With its combination of speed, luxury cars, entertainment and tourism promotion, Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 offers a different way of showcasing Malaysia.

The sight and sound of 100 Lamborghinis travelling from Putrajaya to Sepang may be the headline attraction, but the bigger story is how automotive events can bring communities, businesses, tourists and government agencies together.

As Malaysia continues its Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 journey, events like this demonstrate that tourism can be promoted through many different experiences.

From culture and food to motorsports and luxury cars, Malaysia continues to move together towards a more exciting tourism future.
