7,000 Malaysians Unite at Pos Malaysia Run 2025: A Morning of Fitness and Community Spirit

Pos Malaysia Run 2025

The Pos Malaysia Run 2025 returned stronger than ever, uniting more than 7,000 runners at the iconic Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur for a vibrant celebration of health, heritage, inclusivity, and sustainability.

Held on 22 November 2025, the event carried the lively theme “Jom Laju for Fun!”, encouraging Malaysians of all backgrounds to embrace active living in a spirit of fun and togetherness.

This year’s edition continued to build on the success of the inaugural 2024 event, which attracted 3,500 participants.

Doubling the numbers in just one year, Pos Malaysia proved once again that community-driven sporting events play an essential role in fostering unity and promoting healthier lifestyles across the nation.

A Historic Venue for a Historic Run

The selection of Stadium Merdeka—the very place where Malaysia declared its independence in 1957—added a special symbolic value. Runners stood at the starting line surrounded by history, reminded of Malaysia’s enduring spirit of progress and unity.

At exactly 6.30am, YB Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister of Communications, officially flagged off the 10km and Corporate Relay Run categories. She also took part in the 10km run herself, demonstrating the government’s strong support for healthy lifestyle initiatives and broader community engagement.

A Partnership Built on Shared Purpose

The event was made possible through the strong support of FWD, the Main Partner for Pos Malaysia Run 2025. The collaboration highlighted shared values between both organisations—supporting healthier lifestyles, community empowerment, and overall well-being.

FWD Takaful CEO Aman Chowla shared how meaningful the partnership was in encouraging Malaysians to take proactive steps towards better health.

Meanwhile, Mak See Sen, CEO of FWD Insurance, expressed admiration for the unity displayed by participants of all ages and backgrounds, noting the event’s powerful message of living boldly and with purpose.

Leading the Way in Green Sporting Events

Sustainability was once again a major focus for Pos Malaysia. The 2025 run continued its mission to set new standards for environmentally responsible events in Malaysia.

Key sustainability initiatives included:

  • Eco-friendly finisher medals crafted by NatureLoop from recycled materials, each repurposing approximately six zip ties from Pos Malaysia’s operational waste.
  • Race packs delivered to participants’ homes using Pos Malaysia’s electric vans and bikes, eliminating crowds and reducing carbon emissions.
  • Electric bikes used for marshaling and event support.
  • Proton E.MAS served as the lead electric vehicle for the 10km run.
  • Reusable cups by OPACK used throughout the event to significantly reduce single-use waste.

These green efforts reinforced Pos Malaysia’s role as a leader in sustainability within the sports and logistics sectors.

Supported by a Strong Network of Partners

The successful execution of Pos Malaysia Run 2025 was also made possible through the support of numerous partners such as Proton E.MAS, Blueshark Malaysia, Sunway Lagoon, Reebok Watch, NatureLoop, CUCKOO, DIADORA, Watsons, Montigo, and many more.

Crucial support from FTAAA, JPST, DBKL, and Yayasan Jantung Malaysia ensured the event met high standards of safety, compliance, and health awareness.
