Solar District Cooling Group Berhad

Solar District Cooling Group Berhad (“SDCG”), an established provider of building management systems (“BMS”), solar thermal systems and energy-saving services, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Solar District Cooling Sdn. Bhd. (“SDC”), has accepted a Letter of Award (“LOA”) valued at RM18.50 million to undertake the upgrading of the existing BMS at rail transit stations and their ancillary buildings.

The project involves the enhancement and modernisation of BMS infrastructure across selected rail transit facilities, aimed at improving operational efficiency, monitoring capabilities, and overall system performance.

The works will support the optimisation of building operations within high-traffic public transportation environments, where reliability, energy efficiency and system integration are critical. The Project is for a period 24 months commencing from 15 July 2026 to 15 July 2028.

This latest contract win underscores SDCG’s continued strength and technical expertise in delivering BMS solutions for complex infrastructure projects, particularly within government-linked and transportation sectors. The Group’s ability to integrate, upgrade and maintain building systems positions it well to support large-scale developments that require robust and scalable solutions.

With the addition of this project, SDCG’s total outstanding order book has increased to approximately RM54.52 million, comprising RM36.02 million as at 30 June 2026 and an additional RM18.50 million from this newly secured contract. The expanded order book enhances the Group’s earnings visibility over the near to medium term, supported by a mix of ongoing projects and recurring maintenance-related services.

Managing Director of SDCG, Mr. Edison Kong, said,

“We are pleased to secure this rail transit-related project, which further strengthens our presence in the transportation infrastructure segment. This award reflects our proven track record and technical capabilities in delivering reliable and efficient BMS solutions for mission-critical environments.

This project not only expands our order book but also reinforces our position in supporting energy-efficient and well-integrated building systems across large-scale infrastructure. As we continue to build on our expertise in BMS and energy solutions, we remain focused on delivering sustainable value while capturing opportunities in both public and private sectors.”

The project is expected to contribute positively to the Group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending 31 December 2026 and onwards until its completion.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Group does not expect any material risks arising from the project other than normal operational risks associated with project execution, for which appropriate mitigation measures are in place.

The Board of Directors of SDCG is of the opinion that the project is in the ordinary course of business and is in the best interest of the Company. None of the Directors or substantial shareholders, or persons connected to them, has any interest, direct or indirect, in the project.
