Call of Duty fans have a lot to look forward to as Activision officially unveils Kill Block, a brand-new multiplayer experience coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
The mode was recently showcased ahead of Fanatics Fest in New York City, giving attendees the first opportunity to experience this innovative battlefield.
A Battlefield That Changes Every Match
Unlike traditional multiplayer maps, Kill Block is set inside the West Bridge Advanced Military Training Facility, a highly advanced live-fire combat environment. What makes this map unique is its ability to physically transform between matches.
The battlefield features three massive modular structures known as Slabs. These steel platforms are moved using powerful motors and rail-mounted tracks, creating hundreds of possible map configurations. As a result, players can expect a fresh experience every time they enter a match.
This dynamic design encourages players to adapt their strategies on the fly, making map knowledge and teamwork more important than ever.
Expanded Gunfight Experiences
At launch, Kill Block will support enhanced Gunfight gameplay, including the popular 3v3 format and an all-new Gunfight 10v10 mode. The larger-scale Gunfight variant promises more intense action while maintaining the fast-paced competitive gameplay that fans enjoy.
The introduction of Gunfight 10v10 also opens the door for larger team tactics and more unpredictable firefights.
Launching This October
Kill Block will officially arrive alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on 23 October. Activision has also confirmed that additional core multiplayer modes are planned for future updates after launch.
With its constantly evolving battlefield and expanded multiplayer options, Kill Block could become one of the most exciting additions to the Call of Duty franchise in recent years.
