Visa and MOONTON Games : Three-Year Partnership to Bring Fans Closer to the World’s Biggest Mobile Esports Tournament
Visa and MOONTON Games have announced a new three-year partnership that will further enhance the fan experience surrounding Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and its flagship international esports competition, the M Series.
Under the new agreement, Visa will serve as the Global Payment Partner for the next three editions of the M Series, covering the M8 World Championship in 2027 through the M10 World Championship in 2029.
The partnership is set to give millions of MLBB fans around the world more opportunities to experience the tournament, both online and at live events, while supporting the continued international expansion of MLBB Esports.
Visa Becomes Global Payment Partner for M8 to M10
The latest agreement builds on Visa’s initial entry into the MLBB Esports ecosystem at the M7 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.
As part of the new partnership, Visa cardholders will receive preferential access to M Series tickets throughout the three-year collaboration. Fans will also have opportunities to win exclusive experiences, including VIP Zone access, meet-and-greets with players, and behind-the-scenes tours.
These initiatives are designed to bring fans closer to the teams and players they follow while creating more memorable experiences around one of the world’s biggest mobile gaming competitions.
The partnership will cover the M8, M9 and M10 World Championships, giving Visa and MOONTON Games a longer-term platform to develop new experiences for the global MLBB community.
M Series Expands Its Global Footprint
The partnership comes at an important time for MLBB Esports as the M Series continues to expand beyond its traditional markets.
The M8 World Championship in 2027 will mark the M Series’ European debut, representing another major step in MLBB’s international expansion strategy.
The M Series has already established itself as a major force in global mobile esports. According to Esports Charts, the tournament recorded 5.68 million Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV), making it the most-watched mobile esports tournament in history based on the cited viewership measurement.
With Visa’s payment network covering more than 200 countries and territories, the partnership is also expected to support MLBB’s growing international presence by helping facilitate seamless payment experiences for fans around the world.
Creating More Opportunities for MLBB Fans
For esports fans, partnerships between major brands and gaming publishers are increasingly becoming part of the overall tournament experience.
Rather than focusing solely on the competition itself, the new Visa and MOONTON Games collaboration aims to provide fans with additional ways to participate in the M Series.
From gaining earlier access to tickets to potentially meeting professional players, the partnership introduces experiences that go beyond watching matches on screen.
Danielle Jin, Chief Marketing Officer at Visa Asia Pacific, said the company was proud to deepen its partnership with MOONTON Games and MLBB.
She highlighted how mobile gaming continues to influence how people play, connect and spend, while expressing Visa’s intention to work with MOONTON Games to create memorable experiences for fans and gamers.
Building on the Success of M7
The new three-year agreement follows Visa’s involvement in the M7 World Championship, where both companies explored ways to create additional value across the fan journey.
Visa has also expanded its involvement in the wider MLBB Esports ecosystem by becoming an Official Sponsor of the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 18.
According to Tiger Xu, Global Head of MLBB Esports at MOONTON Games, the new multi-year agreement represents a natural progression following the partnership at M7.
He also pointed to the growing international scale of the M Series as MLBB Esports enters its next phase of globalisation.
What Fans Can Expect from M8 to M10
With the partnership now extending through 2029, MLBB fans can look forward to more opportunities connected to the M Series over the coming years.
Visa cardholders will have access to preferential ticket opportunities, while selected fans can potentially enjoy VIP experiences, player meet-and-greets and behind-the-scenes access.
Meanwhile, the M8 World Championship’s arrival in Europe could introduce the M Series to a new audience and further expand MLBB’s international esports community.
For Visa, the partnership also strengthens its growing involvement in gaming and entertainment. For MOONTON Games, it provides another global partner as MLBB continues to expand its competitive esports ecosystem.
As the M Series moves towards its next chapter, the collaboration between Visa and MOONTON Games is set to play a role in connecting fans with the tournament, players and experiences they love from M8 through M10.
