One year can change everything.
For Malaysian seven-member boy group ALPHA, the past 12 months have been a remarkable journey filled with music, awards, new experiences and an ever-growing community of passionate fans known as ALPHANITES.
The group, comprising Daniel, Izat, Rizal, Ariel, Araff, Ray-D and Sky, recently celebrated their first major milestone with ‘The First Wave’, their inaugural solo concert at Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
What started with seven fresh faces competing on Big Stage Alpha has now evolved into a promising musical journey, culminating in a sold-out solo concert attended by thousands of fans and supported by fellow artists and celebrities.
For ALPHA, the concert was more than simply a performance. It was a celebration of everything they have achieved together during their first year as a group.
As Izat shared, what began as a competition had grown into something much bigger, with The First Wave representing proof that ALPHA’s story is only beginning.
A Night Filled With Familiar Faces and Special Collaborations
The First Wave brought together several familiar faces from the group’s Big Stage journey, creating an atmosphere that celebrated both friendship and shared beginnings.
The concert opened with special performances by fellow Big Stage alumni Adam Nazmie, Yad-Z, Ranisha, Daniel Kifli and Danny, who came together to entertain ALPHANITES before ALPHA took over the stage.
The night continued with more special appearances, including Hussain, who joined ALPHA for a duet of “Tiada Lagi”, originally performed by legendary Malaysian singer Amy Search.
Hussain also used the occasion to make the live debut of his solo track, “Takkan Pernah”, giving fans another memorable moment during the concert.
Another surprise came from singer Nadeera, who joined ALPHA for a lively performance of “Zapin Usik Mengusik” before performing her latest single, “Cuba Jadi Aku”, which serves as the soundtrack for Astro’s drama Bulan Henti Bicara.
For Araff, having friends and fellow artists who shared a similar journey come together on one stage made the concert particularly meaningful.
The response from ALPHANITES throughout the night was equally memorable, with fans singing along and showing their support for every performance.
ALPHA Shares the Stage With Daiyan Trisha
One of the standout moments of The First Wave was undoubtedly ALPHA’s collaboration with singer-songwriter Daiyan Trisha.
The group fulfilled one of their artist bucket-list dreams by performing “Haru Biru” alongside Daiyan, an artist they have long admired.
Performing with her at their very first solo concert made the moment even more significant for the seven members.
Daiyan also expressed her excitement at being part of the milestone, praising the group’s hard work and achievements within such a short period.
For ALPHA, the collaboration represented another important step in their journey as they continue to establish their own identity within the Malaysian music industry.
Exclusive First Looks at “Burn It Down” and “Mahkota Cinta”
The First Wave was also packed with exclusive surprises prepared especially for ALPHANITES.
Among the highlights was an exclusive 30-second preview of the “Burn It Down” music video, a track recorded during ALPHA’s time in Korea.
Fans were also treated to the first unveiling of the music video for the group’s latest release, “Mahkota Cinta”, offering concertgoers an exclusive look at ALPHA’s newest visual direction.
The entertainment continued when ALPHA member Ray-D joined rising actress Arabella Ellen for a special dance performance to “P. Ramlee Saloma”.
ALPHA subsequently delivered their own performance of the popular track, which has received nominations both locally and internationally.
A Sold-Out Concert in Just 90 Minutes
Beyond the performances and special collaborations, The First Wave also marked an important achievement for ALPHA as a group.
Tickets to their debut solo concert were completely sold out in just one and a half hours.
For a group that had only been together for one year, the achievement reflected the growing connection between ALPHA and their dedicated fanbase.
The support has also extended beyond live events. ALPHA has surpassed 100 million combined streams and views across digital platforms, highlighting the growing reach of their music.
For the youngest member, Sky, The First Wave was a gift to ALPHANITES who have supported the group since the beginning.
Every cheer, song and moment shared at the concert was dedicated to the fans, who the group considers an important part of ALPHA’s story.
A Year of Awards and Growing Recognition
ALPHA’s first year has also been marked by significant recognition within the music industry.
Earlier this year, the group celebrated wins at the Gempak Most Wanted Awards 2025, taking home Video Muzik Tergempak and Lagu ERA Tergempak, while also securing a place in the Top 10 Selebriti Tergempak category.
The group continued their award-winning run at AIM 2025, where they won Artis Baru Terbaik and Lagu Pop Terbaik.
Their growing presence has also reached beyond Malaysia. ALPHA received a nomination for Top 5 Most Influential Southeast Asian Artists (Male) at the Jupiter Music Awards 2026.
Meanwhile, “P. Ramlee Saloma” was nominated for Best Listener Choice: International Song at the Japan Music Awards 2026 presented by Spotify.
For group leader Daniel, these achievements remain surreal, particularly as ALPHA has only been together for a year.
The Next Wave Starts Here
Looking back at their journey, ALPHA sees The First Wave as one of the most meaningful milestones in their career so far.
The seven members first came together as individuals with their own dreams. Today, they stand together as ALPHA, with a growing fanbase and an expanding musical journey ahead.
Ariel, who was also the champion of Big Stage Alpha, described the concert as a reflection of the journey shared between the group and their fans.
The sentiment was echoed by Rocketfuel Entertainment, which has witnessed the growth of all seven members from the beginning.
According to Mathan Rajasingam, Head of Rocketfuel Entertainment, ALPHA’s progression from Big Stage Alpha contestants to a group with a debut album, a sold-out solo concert and recognition at AIM within a single year is a significant achievement.
With The First Wave now becoming an important chapter in their story, ALPHA’s journey continues.
One year ago, seven individuals stepped onto a stage with dreams of making their mark.
Today, ALPHA has its own stage, its own music and a community of ALPHANITES growing alongside them.
