Walt Disney Animation Studios is ready to take audiences on a magical adventure with its upcoming animated film, Disney’s Hexed.
A brand-new trailer and poster have officially been released, offering audiences a glimpse into a mysterious world filled with magic, unexpected discoveries and family secrets.
The original animated feature is scheduled to open exclusively in cinemas on November 26, 2026, bringing a new coming-of-age story to the big screen just in time for the year-end movie season.
With an exciting storyline, a talented voice cast and a spectacular fantasy setting, Disney’s Hexed is shaping up to be an animated adventure worth looking forward to.
A Teenage Girl Discovers Her Magical Powers
At the heart of Disney’s Hexed is Billie Doe, an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl voiced by Hailee Steinfeld. Her life takes an extraordinary turn when she discovers that she possesses secret magical abilities.
Once her powers are unleashed, Billie finds herself transported from her ordinary suburban life into Hexe, a vast and spectacular realm inhabited by witches.
However, discovering her abilities is only the beginning of her adventure. As Billie explores this unfamiliar world, she must learn more about her powers and the secrets surrounding the magical realm.
Joining her on this journey is her cautious mother, Alice, voiced by Rashida Jones. Together, the mother-and-daughter duo uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever.
Their journey promises a combination of fantasy, adventure and family relationships, exploring how unexpected discoveries can transform the way people understand themselves and those closest to them.
An Impressive Voice Cast Brings Hexe to Life
One of the highlights of Disney’s Hexed is its impressive voice cast, featuring several well-known Hollywood performers.
Hailee Steinfeld leads the film as Billie Doe, while Rashida Jones voices her mother, Alice. Two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster takes on the role of Queen Celeste, a sinister ruler determined to maintain her power over Hexe indefinitely.
Walton Goggins voices Beef Roger Crummchuk, a mysterious and reclusive magical cat with three eyes. The character forms an uneasy alliance with Billie and Alice as their adventure unfolds.
The film also introduces Henry Winkler as Nigel, a nervous but knowledgeable potoo bird who possesses powerful secrets about the magical world of Hexe.
Meanwhile, Dan Stevens joins the cast as Hieronymous, Queen Celeste’s self-important Grand Councilor of the Throne.
Other voice talents include Tracey Ullman, Stephen Fry, Alan Tudyk, Randall Park, Kathy Najimy, Wayne Knight, Chris Parnell, Yvette Nicole Brown and many more.
With such a diverse lineup, audiences can look forward to a colourful collection of characters bringing the film’s magical world to life.
A New Fantasy Adventure from Disney Animation
Disney’s Hexed is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad serving as co-director. The film is produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino.
The screenplay is written by Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, alongside Dana Ledoux Miller.
Combining an original fantasy setting with a coming-of-age storyline, the film explores themes of self-discovery, family connections and the consequences of uncovering extraordinary abilities.
The magical realm of Hexe also provides an opportunity for imaginative environments, unusual creatures and spectacular adventures that are well suited to animated storytelling.
