Hektar Asset Management Sdn Bhd, the manager of Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust (Hektar REIT), has contributed RM10,000 to Dignity for Children Foundation Malaysia in conjunction with World Food Day 2026.
The contribution supports the foundation’s Daily Meals Programme, providing nutritious meals for 100 underprivileged children throughout October 2026.
The initiative highlights the importance of access to proper nutrition, particularly for children from marginalised communities who need consistent nourishment to support their education, physical growth and overall well-being.
Supporting Children’s Daily Nutritional Needs
Through the RM10,000 sponsorship, Hektar REIT is helping Dignity provide daily meals for children attending its educational programmes. Dignity’s Daily Meals Programme provides each child with a balanced main meal and a snack every school day, from Monday to Friday. All meals are freshly prepared at the foundation’s on-site school kitchen.
The main meals follow a rotating, child-friendly menu designed with dietary wellness in mind. Dishes include familiar favourites such as chicken fried rice and nasi lemak, alongside nutritious options like protein-rich dhal curry.
Children also receive snacks such as milk, fresh fruit and biscuits to complement their main meals.
By providing regular access to food, the programme helps address hunger while encouraging healthier eating habits among children who may otherwise face difficulties accessing consistent, nutritious meals.
