Advancecon Secures RM47.5 Million Contract for Gerbil Data Centre Development

Advancecon Holdings Berhad (前进控股有限公司) (“Advancecon” or “the Group”) (Bursa: 5281), an established provider of earthworks and civil engineering services in Malaysia, is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Advancecon Infra Sdn. Bhd. (“AISB”), has accepted a Letter of Award (“LOA”) from Mujur Minat Sdn. Bhd. (“MMSB”) for the construction and completion of key infrastructure works for the Gerbil Data Centre development at Bandar Springhill, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

Valued at RM47.5 million, the subcontract was awarded in relation to the proposed development commissioned by Gamuda Berhad.

The scope of work entrusted to AISB includes critical components of the data centre’s infrastructure construction, which is expected to be completed by 30 August 2025.

This milestone marks Advancecon’s maiden entry into the data centre infrastructure segment, aligning with Malaysia’s aspirations to become a regional digital hub amid growing demand for cloud computing and digital services.

AISB, which specialises in earthworks and civil engineering services, will execute the project using a combination of internally generated funds and/or external borrowings.

The subcontract is expected to contribute positively to the Group’s earnings over the duration of the contract period, with no material impact on share capital or substantial shareholders’ holdings.
