Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 05 Reloaded Brings New Maps, Zombies Finale and More
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone are getting another major content update with the arrival of Season 05 Reloaded on 21 August 2026 at 2:00 AM AEST.
The mid-season update brings fresh Multiplayer content, a brand-new Zombies map, new Warzone gameplay features, weapons, events and limited-time modes.
For fans who have been following the Black Ops 7 Zombies storyline, this update is particularly important. Season 05 Reloaded introduces Rex Infernus, the final Round-Based Zombies map, bringing the current storyline towards its dramatic conclusion.
Here is everything players can expect from the latest Call of Duty update.
Turbo Tilt Takes Nuketown Into a Pinball Machine
One of the most unusual additions in Season 05 Reloaded is Turbo Tilt, a new Multiplayer map inspired by the iconic Nuketown.
Instead of simply revisiting the familiar suburban battlefield, Turbo Tilt transforms elements of Nuketown into a gigantic pinball-inspired arena. Players will battle around bumpers, ramps and targets while navigating locations and obstacles based on the infamous Nuketown setting.
The result looks set to deliver a faster and more chaotic Multiplayer experience, with players encouraged to use the environment while fighting for the highest score.
Freerun: Descent Tests Player Skills
Players looking for something different can also take on Freerun: Descent, the second obstacle course introduced to Black Ops 7.
The course features seven zones with increasingly challenging mobility sections. Operators who successfully complete the course can earn rewards, making it another opportunity for players to demonstrate movement skills outside traditional Multiplayer matches.
Meanwhile, Cranked Moshpit makes its return. In this mode, eliminating opponents activates the Cranked timer, giving players buffs while forcing them to keep moving and scoring kills. Staying on objectives and maintaining the elimination streak becomes crucial because allowing the timer to expire could mean the end of the match for your Operator.
Rex Infernus Brings the Zombies Storyline to Its Finale
The biggest attraction for Zombies fans is undoubtedly Rex Infernus, the final Round-Based Zombies map in the Black Ops 7 storyline.
The crew must confront the Warden in a battle that could determine the fate of reality itself. As the storyline reaches its finale, players can expect a combination of new enemies, traps, quests and rewards.
Among the new threats are the Deathspinners and the Web Mother, enemies capable of using both melee attacks and ranged web projectiles.
Players can also utilise the new Titan Trap while completing the Main Quest in both Standard and Cursed Mode.
New Perk, GobbleGum and Legacy Weapons
Rex Infernus also introduces new gameplay equipment. The Widow’s Wine Perk-a-Cola allows players to trap enemies in an explosion of webs, while the Fully Packed Ultra GobbleGum provides a major boost to weapon capabilities.
The Mystery Box also gets some interesting additions, giving players a chance to obtain the TR2 Marksman Rifle and Olympia Shotgun as legacy weapons.
For Zombies players, this could make Rex Infernus an essential experience before the Black Ops 7 storyline moves forward.
Warzone Gets Loaded Resurgence and New Rewards
Over in Call of Duty: Warzone, Season 05 Reloaded introduces Loaded Resurgence as a Weekend Limited-Time Mode.
The update also adds new gameplay opportunities through the Most Wanted Contract. Completing the contract can help squads secure the Quickdrop Kit, which reduces redeployment time in Resurgence.
Another new feature is the arrival of Special Delivery Drones. Players who successfully shoot down these drones and survive can claim new Weapon Camos, providing another reason to keep an eye on the skies during matches.
Last Chance to Play Endgame for Free
Players interested in Endgame should take note of an important change.
Season 05 Reloaded represents the final opportunity to experience Endgame as a free-to-play mode. Starting with the next season, the mode will become exclusive to Black Ops 7 owners.
Until the end of Season 05, players can invite friends, complete Operations, level up and earn rewards together.
New Weapons, Events and Store Bundles
Across the different modes, Season 05 Reloaded also introduces new weapons and weekly challenge rewards.
The new Mace Melee Weapon offers long reach and high damage, while additional rewards include the RK-9 Calibrated Strike System and Peacekeeper MK1 Gauss Accelerator.
Players can also participate in new events, including the Zombies-themed Last Call Event, the Freerun: Descent Challenge Event and a Call of Duty: Warzone Ranked Series event featuring new Emblems and Weapon Camos.
The Store will also receive new premium Bundles, including Ultra Skins, Reactive content, Mastercraft Weapon Blueprints and Zombies-themed offerings celebrating the arrival of Rex Infernus.
Season 05 Reloaded Looks Like a Big Mid-Season Update
With a new Multiplayer map, a fresh Freerun course, the return of Cranked, the finale of Black Ops 7 Zombies and additional Warzone content, Season 05 Reloaded is shaping up to be a substantial update.
For Zombies fans especially, Rex Infernus could become the main reason to jump back into Black Ops 7 as the current storyline reaches its conclusion.
Season 05 Reloaded arrives on 21 August 2026 at 2:00 AM AEST, giving Call of Duty players plenty of new content to explore across Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone and Endgame.
