Doogee Y300 is the successor of Doogee Y200 which was launched in Malaysia at a Doogee Media launch event back in March, 2016.
Being the latest representative of the Doogee Youth series, the Y300 excelled in style on both its design and overall looks.
On both of its front and back panel, Doogee Y300 applied 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass to cover on top of the device body with aluminum frame placed in between them.
Its body dimension is 13.8 X 7.06 X 6.7 mm and weighing in at 145 grams. This slim device is presented with a 80 percent screen-to- body ratio is among the highest in this price segment.
Doogee Y300’s display is using a 5-Inch capacitive IPS screen with 1280×720 pixels resolution. It offers excellent viewing angles with good contrast and vivid colors as well.
Under the hood, Doogee Y300 is running on a 64-bit Mediatek MT6735 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 Quad Core processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. These assets give the Y300 sufficient capabilities to do some browsing, watching HD videos, playing games etc.
Doogee Y300 uses a 13MP Sony IMX219 rear camera that can take sharp and detailed images with good color reproduction and white balance. It also comes with a LED flash support for low light shooting. The 5 megapixel front-facing camera performs fairly well for selfie shots as well as video calls.
Powering up the smartphone is a non-removable 2,200 mAh lithium-ion battery which can last over a day of moderate usage. Out of the box, Doogee Y300 runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Doogee customized UI that runs smoothly without any notable stutter.
Doogee Y300 comes with a dual SIM cards that support networks up to 4G LTE that is compatible with FDD LTE bands 800/1800/2100/2600. Connectivity wise, it offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS support.
Doogee Y300 is now available in Malaysia with the retail price of RM599. Doogee Y300 comes in three color options: black, white and gold.
