The global esports landscape is set for a major transformation as The Esports Foundation officially appoints NODWIN Gaming as India’s National Team Partner for the upcoming Esports Nations Cup 2026 (ENC 2026).
Scheduled to debut in Riyadh from November 2 to 29, 2026, the Esports Nations Cup marks a groundbreaking shift in competitive gaming by introducing a nation-based format.
Unlike traditional club-based tournaments, ENC 2026 will see countries competing on a global stage, fostering national pride and structured talent development.
A New Era for Indian Esports
The appointment of NODWIN Gaming reflects its long-standing influence in shaping India’s esports ecosystem. With over a decade of experience in organising tournaments, building gaming communities, and managing publisher-led circuits, the company is well-positioned to lead India’s national esports ambitions.
As the official National Team Partner, NODWIN Gaming will take charge of building India’s national team from the ground up. This includes identifying top talent, developing grassroots pathways, coordinating with coaches and publishers, and ensuring that Indian players are equipped to compete at the highest international level.
According to Nimish Raut, Global Head of Esports Partnerships & Special Projects at NODWIN Gaming, the Esports Nations Cup represents a transformative opportunity for India. With one of the world’s largest gaming communities, the country has long lacked a unified structure for global representation — something ENC aims to address.
Building a Structured Esports Ecosystem
One of the defining features of ENC 2026 is its partnership-led model, which focuses on working with local stakeholders to build sustainable national ecosystems. NODWIN Gaming will play a critical role in connecting players, creators, and organisations across India to create a cohesive pathway for competitive growth.
This initiative goes beyond just forming a team. It aims to establish a long-term framework that nurtures talent, enhances performance, and strengthens India’s presence in the global esports arena.
The scale of the initiative is evident from the overwhelming response received by the Esports Foundation, with over 630 applications from 150 countries and territories for National Team Partner roles. This highlights the growing global interest in nation-based esports competition.
A Global Tournament with Massive Investment
ENC 2026 is backed by a significant investment of $45 million, making it one of the most ambitious esports tournaments ever announced. This includes $20 million allocated for prize money across 16 game titles, $5 million in club incentives, and another $20 million dedicated to national team development.
The tournament will feature a placement-based prize structure, with first-place winners earning $50,000 per player, followed by $30,000 for second place and $15,000 for third place. Team-based titles will see scaled payouts, further increasing the stakes for participating nations.
A Diverse Lineup of Game Titles
ENC 2026 will showcase a wide range of popular esports titles, reflecting the diversity of the global gaming community. Among the featured games are PUBG MOBILE, VALORANT, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike 2.
Other titles include Rocket League, Apex Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honor of Kings, and even Chess, highlighting the tournament’s inclusive approach to competitive gaming.
Strengthening India’s Global Presence
India has long been recognised as a rapidly growing esports market, with a passionate player base and increasing industry support. However, the absence of a unified national structure has often limited its representation on the global stage.
With NODWIN Gaming at the helm, India now has a clear pathway to compete internationally as a cohesive unit. The company’s expertise in event execution, content creation, and community engagement will be instrumental in building a competitive and sustainable national team.
Hans Jagnow, Director of Special Projects at the Esports Foundation, emphasised India’s potential as a rising esports powerhouse. He highlighted NODWIN Gaming’s pivotal role in uniting the community and driving national pride as players prepare to represent their country in Riyadh.
A New Chapter for Global Esports
The Esports Nations Cup introduces a fresh dimension to competitive gaming by complementing existing club-based tournaments such as the Esports World Cup. With a biennial format and a rotating host city model after its debut in Riyadh, ENC aims to create a stable and scalable structure for national team competition.
This initiative not only enhances the competitive landscape but also encourages long-term investment in player development and infrastructure across participating nations.
Looking Ahead to Riyadh 2026
As the countdown to November 2026 begins, anticipation continues to build around ENC 2026 and its potential to redefine esports on a global scale.
For India, the appointment of NODWIN Gaming marks a significant milestone in its esports journey. With a strong foundation, a clear vision, and a growing community, the country is now better positioned than ever to compete among the world’s best.
As esports continues to evolve, ENC 2026 stands as a testament to the industry’s next phase — one where national pride, structured development, and global competition come together to shape the future of gaming.
