“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” the latest installment in George Miller’s iconic dystopian series, will debut on HBO GO on August 16. The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, exploring the origins of Furiosa, a character introduced in the critically acclaimed “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
Set in Miller’s chaotic post-apocalyptic world, the story follows a young Furiosa as she is kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers by the Biker Horde, led by Warlord Dementus.
As they traverse the desolate Wasteland, they encounter The Immortan Joe at the Citadel, leading to a brutal power struggle between the two tyrants. Amidst the chaos, Furiosa must navigate numerous challenges to find her way back home.
Directed and produced by George Miller, with contributions from Academy Award®-nominated Doug Mitchell and co-writer Nico Lathouris, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” promises intense action and deep storytelling.
