Robbie Fowler and Paul Scholes – who played together with Owen in the England Football squad of 2002, will be at Resorts World Genting from 13-15 July to close the curtain on Genting Football Fever 2018.
Fowler, prominently known as a striker from 1993-2012 made his name at Liverpool, even earning himself the moniker ‘God’, as he is best known to fans.
Paul Scholes sealed his name in football’s history books over at Manchester United since making his full debut there in 1994.

A highly anticipated time that only rolls around every four years, Genting Football Fever 2018 celebrated the world’s most loved sport by kicking off the festivities with appearances by football legend Michael Owen during the opening of the games.
Fans of ‘the beautiful game’ turned up in droves to see the player of Liverpool fame in person as Meet & Greet sessions, a football clinic and the Opening Match Viewing party was held.
Commencing on 14 June, a fun-filled roster of activities at the Football Village built specifically for the event at the Arena Courtyard, in front of the Arena of Stars will continue until the finals on 15 July. The revelry, celebrated at 6000 feet above sea level includes live games screened at the Malaysian Food Street, and other various dining outlets throughout the resort.
Former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Fowler and former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes hosted the ‘Meet the Fans’ and autograph sessions on 13 July from 1pm at the Times Square Stage and 10.30pm at RedTail by Zouk, a bar for millennials with fantastic games such as Electronic Beer Pong and Giant Jenga.
They will be hosting further ‘Meet the Fans’ sessions on 14 July from 7.00pm onwards and on 15 July from 6.00pm at the Times Square Stage. For those hoping to be the next Ronaldo and Messi, they will conduct a football clinic at the Football Village on 13 July from 5.15pm.
The Third-Place Match viewing on 14 July at 8.00pm at the Genting International Showroom (GISR) and the Final Match on 15 July at 9.00pm at the Arena of Stars will be joined by Robbie Fowler and Paul Scholes that will include a live DJ and fun games.
Food & beverages for the event such as fried chicken wings and beer buckets will be available at the GISR. This experience will be extra special for fans at Resorts World Genting, as the two English football legends will be watching alongside fans for the Third-Place and Final matches.
In between all the excitement, thrills and drama of the Genting Football Fever 2018, the fun will not stop at the Football Village. Open to all Genting Rewards (GRC) members and the public, the Football Village will be the stage for an exhilarating array of fun games that cover all aspects of football.
Open daily from 10.00am to 9.30pm, guests can put themselves in the position of a footballer and test their skills through games like Reaction Test, Electronic Dribble Mat, Battle Cage, Target Football and Radar Speed Cage, as well as the Robbie Fowler/Paul Scholes-led football clinics on 14 July. The Football Village at Resorts World Genting will be open daily at the Arena Courtyard (in front of the Arena of Stars) until 15 July, 2018.
Entrance is free for all valid GRC members to participate in fun-filled activities and games that showcase past and present football legends. The month-long events included a fun and energetic ‘Football Fever Dance’ with lively music, somersaults and football mascots.
