‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’

Can be a challenging question for kids to answer, especially when their dreams have yet to sprout. To help kids answer this, KidZania Kuala Lumpur officially launched the Career Fair for the second year in a row.

The 9-day variable programme will run through the school holiday period, giving kids the perfect chance to participate in fun and captivating activities hosted by various partners of KidZania Kuala Lumpur.

Running from 14 – 22 March 2020, the programme aims to help cultivate values such as teamwork, patience and curiousity within kids.

“Celebrating dreams at the city of infinite possibilities, kids will be able to explore the countless opportunities that await them in the not-too-distant future. This event provides a learning opportunity for kids to expand their personal skills and interests, which can have long-term benefits for their development,” – Shahrul Nizar Ahmad, Mayor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur.

Stationed all around the KidZania city, participating partners include BFM, Cuckoo, Tealive, Mission Foods, UKM Forensics, Hotel Sentral, Optimax and Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC). Each partner will be holding special activities, pop-up booths and workshops during the weekdays and weekends for the programme.

At KidZania’s Career Fair 2.0, kids will benefit from the opportunity to craft their own resume with professional help. ‘Q and Eh?: Career Edition’ will also be held at the radio station, where both kids and parents will get to spark ideas of what kind of field they’ll be interested in. Visitors will also be encouraged to share their aspirations at the Wall of Dreams and set goals for their future.

Tealive will be hosting an exciting game of Career Charades. There will also be a Mock Job Interview for kids to conduct in partners. Meanwhile, the Career Terminology Puzzle is another not-to-be-missed activity with the city’s Zupervisors.

There will also be weekend-only activities held on 14 & 15 March and 21 & 22 March consecutively. Kids can seize the chance to become forensic scientists and learn how to conduct footprint casting and fingerprint dusting for an investigation under the watchful eye of the Forensics team from UKM.

They can also drop by the yummy brownies demonstration by MPOC There will also be a cooking activity by Mission Foods where kids can learn to make their own delicious snack, peanut butter and banana wrap.
