Samsung Wins 77 Awards at iF Design Awards 2026

Samsung Electronics has once again demonstrated its leadership in innovation and design after receiving 77 awards at the prestigious iF Design Awards 2026. The global recognition highlights Samsung’s continued commitment to delivering products and experiences that combine cutting-edge technology with human-centered design.

Among the many accolades, Samsung secured two coveted Gold Awards, recognizing the company’s outstanding work in both product innovation and sustainable design. The award-winning entries include the innovative Music Studio 5 speaker and the Sustainable Design Identity for Home Appliance Accessories.

A Prestigious Global Design Competition

Established in 1953 by the organization Die Gute Industrieform e.V., the iF Design Awards has grown into one of the world’s most respected design competitions. Each year, it evaluates entries from companies around the globe across several design disciplines.

The judging process considers multiple criteria, including innovation, functionality, impact, and differentiation. The competition spans nine categories, including product design, packaging design, communication design, interior architecture, professional concept, service design, architecture, and digital experiences such as user experience (UX) and user interface (UI).

According to Mauro Porcini, design today goes beyond aesthetics or product appearance.

“Design now shapes meaningful experiences that resonate with people,” he said. “Human-centered design will remain at the heart of our efforts as we deepen immersive experiences and advance responsible innovation.”

Gold Award for Music Studio 5

One of the highlights of Samsung’s success at the awards is the Music Studio 5, which received a Gold Award for its exceptional design and functionality.

At first glance, the speaker features a clean rectangular form that fits seamlessly into modern living spaces. However, a closer inspection reveals a variety of refined details, including a finely perforated grille that hides high-performance audio components.

The device also incorporates dynamic front lighting, allowing users to easily identify key functions. Its timeless design blends elegance with functionality, making it feel more like a stylish art piece than a typical speaker.

Music Studio 5 also introduces an enhanced entertainment experience when paired with a Samsung television through Q-Symphony wireless connectivity, enabling synchronized audio that creates a cinema-like atmosphere in the home.

Sustainable Innovation in Home Appliances

Samsung’s second Gold Award recognized its Advanced Design Concepts for Home Appliance Accessories, an initiative focused on improving usability and sustainability.

The design introduces a color-coding system for accessories such as filters used in vacuum cleaners and air purifiers. Each color represents different maintenance requirements or disposal methods, allowing users to quickly understand how to manage or replace components.

This simple yet effective design solution improves convenience while encouraging more responsible product maintenance and disposal practices.

Award-Winning Products Across Multiple Categories
