Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad (“SCIB” or the “Company”), a Construction and EPCC specialist, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SCIB Industrialised Building System Sdn. Bhd. (“SIBS”) has secured a RM24.59 million Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (“EPCC”) subcontract for the proposed reconstruction works of the dilapidated school building at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kaingaran in Tambunan, Sabah.
The Letter of Award was issued by Belian Juta Sdn. Bhd. (“BJSB”). Under the subcontract, SIBS will undertake the execution, performance and completion of the reconstruction works, including the provision of all necessary materials, machinery, equipment, mechanical plants and labour required for the project.
The project is scheduled to commence on 10 August 2026 and is expected to be completed by 22 January 2029, providing the Group with earnings visibility over an approximately 29-month execution period. The latest award further strengthens SCIB’s Construction and EPCC project pipeline in Sabah while reinforcing the Group’s established track record in delivering public sector education infrastructure projects.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to SCIB’s future earnings over the tenure of the project, with revenue and profit recognised progressively in line with the progress of the works. The project will be funded through internally generated funds and/or project progress billings, allowing the Group to efficiently align its funding requirements with project implementation.
