Timberland is proud to present award-winning Asian musician, actor and entrepreneur Will Pan as its 2019 APAC Brand Ambassador. Pan has long been admired across Asia for the versatility of his creative projects in music, entertainment and fashion.

Although Pan enjoys widespread popularity in the region and has a unique position as a fashion icon, it is his long-term commitment to community outreach and environmental sustainability that has most impressed Timberland.

Timberland seeks to inspire fans to step outside, collaborate with one another, and improve the world in any way possible—actions that Pan has pledged to advocate by joining Timberland’s Nature Needs Heroes campaign in 2019.

Nature Needs Heroes is a clarion call based on the brand’s core principles, emphasizing that immediate action is necessary to protect our environment.

In collaboration with Timberland and the company’s other heroes from around the world, Pan will champion sustainability and represent Asia throughout the global Nature Needs Heroes campaign.

By encouraging his supporters to follow his lead and wear the Timberland badge, Pan will be highlighting environmentalism in a vast region that is just beginning to awaken.

Will Pan – Timberland 2019 APAC Brand Ambassador

Timberland 2019 APAC Brand AmbassadorAt the start of 2019 Timberland invited Will Pan to personally witness how the brand incorporates responsibly designed products into their collections.

Pan was introduced to Timberland Global Creative Director Christopher Raeburn and attended his Fall/Winter 2019 show during London Fashion Week Men’s, where Timberland’s F19 collaboration collection with Raeburn was shown.

Afterwards, Pan visited the RÆBURN Lab in Hackney, where Raeburn demonstrated how he works with Timberland to balance fashion and environmentalism.

Pan will carry this message forward in April when he joins Timberland and the Japan-based non-profit organization Green Network in Inner Mongolia, where he’ll plant trees to raise awareness for the Horqin Desert reforestation project.

The initiative has been supported by Timberland for years and aims to help reduce the widespread damage that sandstorms cause by creating natural barriers in the desert. Since beginning the project in 2001, Timberland has planted more than 2.6 million trees in China, out of a total of 9.7 million trees planted worldwide by the company.

Later in the year Pan will also participate in a F19 Nature Needs Heroes media event in Asia open to both the press and the public where he’ll introduce new Timberland footwear and apparel collections that feature recycled materials such as ReBOTLTM, recycled rubber, and recycled polyester.

ReBOTLTM is a proprietary material that contains at least 40% recycled PET, the same material used to make plastic bottles, that is weaved into yarns for use in Timberland products and accessories.

Since 2009, the company has recycled the equivalent of more than 310 million plastic bottles through the use of recycled PET in its footwear, and Pan’s support will certainly raise attention in the region for responsible design.

Throughout his career Pan has continually demonstrated his dedication to the same beliefs that have proudly defined Timberland.

With this partnership, Timberland is confident they’ve found the right advocate in Asia to wear their badge and represent their values of inspiration, collaboration, and
sustainability.
