Alula SC Head to Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2026

The Philippines continues to prove its strength in the competitive Call of Duty: Mobile scene, with Alula SC and ELEVATE securing Garena’s only two spots at the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 Finals.

Alula SC claimed the Garena Qualifier championship after completing an impressive comeback in the Grand Final, while ELEVATE finished as runner-up. Both teams will now represent the Garena region at the World Championship Finals in Mexico City this December.

The result is another major achievement for Philippine Call of Duty: Mobile esports, particularly after the two teams also finished first and second at the Garena Summer Invitational 2026 earlier this year.

Alula SC and ELEVATE Lead the Garena Region

The Garena Qualifier brought together 10 of the strongest Call of Duty: Mobile teams from across Southeast Asia and East Asia.

Teams from Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines battled over three weeks for a chance to reach the global stage.

However, the Playoffs ultimately became a showcase of Philippine dominance.

All four Playoffs spots were claimed by teams from the Philippines, with Alula SC, ELEVATE, Rival Esports and Vizualz SKAERI advancing to the decisive stage of the competition.

With only two World Championship Finals spots available, the pressure was clearly on.

Alula SC eventually emerged as champion, taking home US$4,500 in prize money, while ELEVATE collected US$3,000 as the runner-up.

Alula SC Completes an Impressive Comeback

The road to the championship was anything but straightforward for Alula SC.

During the Playoffs on August 29 and 30, both Alula SC and ELEVATE made impressive starts. ELEVATE defeated Vizualz SKAERI 3-0, while Alula SC produced an identical 3-0 result against Rival Esports.

ELEVATE continued its momentum in the Upper Bracket, eventually facing Alula SC in the Upper Bracket Final.

This time, ELEVATE showed why it was considered one of the strongest teams in the tournament, defeating Alula SC 3-0 and becoming the first team to secure a place in the Grand Final.

For Alula SC, however, the tournament was not over.

The team bounced back in the Lower Bracket Final, defeating Rival Esports 3-0 and earning another opportunity to face ELEVATE for the championship.

A Different Story in the Grand Final

The rematch between Alula SC and ELEVATE delivered exactly the kind of drama esports fans love.

Having suffered a 3-0 defeat against ELEVATE earlier in the Playoffs, Alula SC entered the Grand Final with something to prove.

This time, the result went in the opposite direction.

Alula SC defeated ELEVATE 4-2 in the Grand Final, completing its comeback and lifting the Garena Qualifier trophy.

It was a particularly impressive turnaround considering the team’s earlier loss to ELEVATE.

For ELEVATE, the runner-up finish was still enough to secure its ticket to the biggest stage of the year.

Philippines Continues Its CODM Esports Dominance

The latest result further highlights the Philippines’ growing influence in competitive Call of Duty: Mobile.

Interestingly, Alula SC and ELEVATE had already finished first and second at the Garena Summer Invitational 2026, although Alula SC and ELEVATE occupied the opposite positions on that occasion.

Their continued success suggests that the Philippines remains one of the key regions to watch as the global CODM esports season approaches its climax.

For fans across the Garena region, including Malaysia and other Southeast Asian markets, having two Philippine teams representing the region at the World Championship will certainly add another interesting storyline to the competition.

Mexico City Awaits the World’s Best

Alula SC and ELEVATE will now turn their attention towards the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 Finals, scheduled to take place from December 4 to 6 in Mexico City.

The tournament will feature 16 teams in total, with the two Garena representatives joining 14 other qualified teams from around the world.

The event will also be a historic one for Call of Duty: Mobile esports, as the World Championship Finals will be held in Mexico for the first time.

For ELEVATE, the trip to Mexico City will also represent a return to the global stage. The team previously reached the Grand Final of the 2025 World Championship in Katowice, Poland, where it finished as runner-up.

This time, ELEVATE will be looking to go one step further.

Meanwhile, Alula SC will arrive in Mexico City as the reigning Garena Qualifier champion and one of the teams riding a strong wave of momentum.

Can Garena Produce a World Champion?

With Alula SC and ELEVATE now confirmed as Garena’s representatives, attention will turn towards December and the World Championship Finals.

Both Philippine teams have already demonstrated that they can compete against the best teams in the region. The bigger question now is whether they can translate that regional success onto the global stage.

For Alula SC, it will be an opportunity to build on its impressive comeback. For ELEVATE, it is another chance to finally capture the world title after coming so close in 2025.

One thing is certain: Garena will have two strong contenders in Mexico City.

The Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 Finals will take place from December 4 to 6 and will be broadcast in English, giving fans around the world a chance to follow the action as the best CODM teams battle for the global crown.
