The sound of more than 5,000 audience singing along to these 2 performers in Melawati Stadium, Shah Alam was more than enough to prove that Afgan and Ungu have their own fanatics.
Konsert Terunggul Afgan dan Ungu which was held on October 6th 2017 started off with Ungu performing their hits, Hatiku Hampa. And the distinct vocal abilities of Ungu’s lead singer, Pasha should never be questioned.
The audience were presented with a very distinguished music arrangement by the band that has been around Indonesia’s music industry for about 20 years.
Ungu sang most of their hits songs as a tribute to their fans for their continuous love and support for the band.
Ungu perfomed songs such as Percaya Padaku, Untukmu Selamanya, Aku Tahu, Andai Ku Tahu, Bila Tiba, Kekasih Gelapku and Tercipta Untukku – a duet with Akademi Fantasia Megastar contestant, Idayu. The duet was so refreshing, the crowds were easily mesmerized with the beauty of the performance.
The momentum of the night continued with Afgan through his hits, Pesan Cinta. The performance which was accompanied by his own line of musicians, The Gandarianz made the crowds stood on their feet and danced along the rhythm of the song.
This time around, Afgan chose to sing songs mostly from his new album, Sides.
The singer who is about to celebrate his 10th year anniversary in the industry next year performed his latest songs such as X, Jalan Terus, Knock Me Out as well his hits songs such as Katakan Tidak, Bukan Cinta Biasa, Terima Kasih Cinta, Jodoh Pasti Bertemu, Percayalah, Dia Dia Dia and Panah Asmara.
The audience were truly surprised when Afgan and Pasha came out together to perform Cinta Yang Lain, a popular song by Ungu.
The audience also had the chance to win after concert Meet & Greet passes at the interval run by the emcee.
The concert went on for almost 3 hours with more than 20 songs being performed, witnessed the audience sang along to most of the hits. This proves that Afgan and Ungu have a very strong fan base in Malaysia.
This concert was successfully brought by Popcorn Studio; collaborating with Erik’s Talent, Durian King, CO3 Social Office, Redbox and Greenbox Karaoke, Digi, Maybank and Suria FM, and Astro as the official media partner. The accommodations were fully sponsored by Acapella Suite Hotel,Shah Alam.
The amazing jazz/rock/ballad concert proved to be different, intimate and most importantly, it has left a memorable musical experience for all fans of Afgan and Ungu.
