With its combination of international sporting action and community experiences, Paramount Cup is shaping up to be more than just a pickleball tournament.

Paramount Cup 2026 Attracts International Pickleball Talent

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, Paramount Cup has expanded its reach this year, attracting players from Malaysia and countries including the Philippines, Vietnam, Australia, India, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom.

The tournament also serves as an APP Asia Qualifier and is overseen by Australian tournament director Matthew “Matt” Hort, who has extensive experience managing tournaments across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Several notable players are participating in this year’s competition, including Kyle Stoker, Vanshik Kapadia, Roman Estareja, Connie Na Eun Lee, Anna Clarice Patrimonio and Mihika Yadav.

According to Beh Chun Chong, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of Paramount Corporation Berhad, the tournament’s growth reflects the increasing opportunities for young players and the importance of creating experiences that bring communities together.

As the event continues to grow, Paramount Cup aims to combine sporting excellence with community engagement, reflecting Paramount’s philosophy of creating places where people can connect and share meaningful experiences.

One of the highlights of Paramount Cup 2026 is its expanded junior programme, which introduces eight categories across the Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 age groups.

Taking place on Saturday, 24 October, the junior singles matches are scheduled from 9.00am to 12.20pm, followed by doubles matches from 1.00pm to 4.20pm.

The junior competition gives young pickleball enthusiasts an opportunity to showcase their skills, gain valuable match experience and enjoy the excitement of competing against players in their respective age groups.

For families attending the event, the matches also provide an opportunity to introduce children to the sport and encourage their interest in an increasingly popular racquet sport.

The action continues on Saturday evening with the 19+ Men’s and Women’s Doubles Open, beginning at 5.00pm. The women’s matches are scheduled until 8.40pm, while the men’s competition continues until 9.40pm.

On Sunday, 25 October, Mixed Doubles competitions across five divisions begin at 8.00am. The 19+ and 35+ Mixed Doubles Open categories will start at 5.00pm, with matches scheduled until 8.20pm.

The festival features food and artisan stalls, hands-on workshops, sustainability-themed activities and family-friendly entertainment, giving visitors plenty to explore between matches.

Five free workshops will be available throughout the festival. These include So Hand Made’s Trash to Treasure Soap Making Workshop and Terra Green Malaysia’s Used Coffee Ground Handmade Soap Workshop, both of which introduce creative ways to repurpose materials.

Visitors can also participate in Ko.Mo.Re’s Smash & Create: Pickleball Wooden Robot Charm Workshop, while Timeless Magmories offers an opportunity to create personalised magnets.

For families with younger children, Wonderplay’s interactive sensory play lab provides another activity to explore.

With activities catering to different ages and interests, the festival makes Paramount Cup an appealing weekend destination for families, sports fans and anyone looking for a relaxed community outing.

Supporting Children Through Every Tournament Registration

Beyond sports and entertainment, Paramount Cup 2026 also incorporates a charitable initiative supporting SHELTER Home for Children.

For every tournament registration, PLAYA will contribute RM5, with Paramount Property matching the amount with an additional RM5. This brings the total contribution to RM10 per registration.

The funds will support SHELTER Home for Children’s work in providing food, safe accommodation, education, daily care and counselling for children who have experienced abuse, neglect or abandonment.

The initiative adds a meaningful community dimension to the tournament, demonstrating how sporting events can create a positive impact beyond the competition itself.
