PEOPLElogy Berhad (“PEOPLElogy” or the “Company”), Malaysia’s first public-listed Digital Workforce Transformation company, today marked its 25th Anniversary with the launch of the “I’M AI READY” Movement, a national future-ready initiative aimed at preparing Malaysians for the rapidly evolving AI economy.
The milestone event was attended by YBhg. Datuk Fabian Bigar, Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital, alongside leaders from government agencies, corporate organisations, educators, technology partners, and talent development ecosystems to strengthen Malaysia’s digital workforce transformation agenda.
Anchored to the Malaysia AI Readiness Index 2026–2030, the “I’M AI READY” Movement aims to prepare 5 million Malaysians for the AI economy by 2028 through large-scale awareness programmes, AI education initiatives, certification pathways, and industry integration opportunities.
The initiative aligns closely with Malaysia’s national digitalisation agenda under the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (“RMK-13”) and MyDIGITAL Blueprint, supporting the Government’s efforts to strengthen local talent development and accelerate AI adoption nationwide.
The movement is structured around three key pillars comprising public awareness, Assessment and education, and working with industry players to empower Malaysians towards AI economy.
Through these pillars, PEOPLElogy aims to strengthen AI literacy, develop industry-aligned digital competencies, and expand Malaysia’s pipeline of AI-ready talent across multiple workforce segments. T
arget beneficiaries include students and youths, working professionals, SMEs and entrepreneurs, civil servants and public sector personnel, as well as B40 and underserved communities. The initiative seeks to ensure that AI readiness and future workforce opportunities remain inclusive and accessible across all segments of Malaysian society.
According to PEOPLElogy, the need for coordinated national action continues to grow amid accelerating AI disruption globally. Findings highlighted within the movement framework indicate that 87% of Malaysian workers feel unprepared for AI disruption in their current roles, while only 12% of organisations currently have a structured AI workforce readiness programme in place.
Mr. Allen Lee, Founder and Managing Director of PEOPLElogy Berhad, said,
“The AI economy is already reshaping industries, jobs, and workforce expectations globally. Through the ‘I’M AI READY’ Movement, we aim to ensure Malaysians are not left behind in this transformation.
This initiative is not merely a training programme. It is a national movement designed to connect awareness, capability development, certification, and industry participation into one coordinated ecosystem. As Malaysia advances towards becoming a stronger digital economy, talent readiness will become one of the nation’s most important competitive advantages.
As we celebrate PEOPLElogy’s 25th Anniversary, this initiative also reflects our long-term commitment towards nation-building through digital talent development. We believe AI readiness should be accessible to every Malaysian regardless of age, industry, or background.”
The movement’s implementation roadmap will be executed progressively across three phases over a 36-month period, beginning with pilot programmes and nationwide awareness campaigns, followed by ecosystem expansion, AI readiness assessments, certification initiatives, and broader industry integration efforts.
PEOPLElogy targets to reach 50,000 talents under Phase One, 500,000 talents under Phase Two, before scaling towards the national target of 5 million Malaysians by 2028.
During the event, PEOPLElogy also formalised strategic collaborations with ecosystem partners through multiple Memoranda of Understanding aimed at strengthening workforce transformation initiatives, AI readiness programmes, and digital skills certification pathways.
Under the “I’M AI READY” Movement, PEOPLElogy signed MoUs with JSkill, PIKOM, Century Software and Malaysia Retail Chain Association (“MRCA”) to increase ecosystem density, strengthen talent development initiatives, and drive greater AI readiness adoption across various sectors.
In addition, PEOPLElogy strengthened its strategic business ecosystem through collaborations with Infoline IT Solutions Sdn Bhd, FWD Malaysia Holdings Sdn Bhd, Taylor’s College, and Multimedia University (“MMU”), supporting future workforce development, digital capability building, and industry-academia collaboration.
Looking ahead, PEOPLElogy remains optimistic on the long-term prospects of Malaysia’s digital workforce transformation landscape, supported by growing AI adoption, increasing digitalisation across industries, and stronger emphasis on future skills readiness. Leveraging its proprietary 6D Transformation Model and integrated people development ecosystem, the Group remains committed to supporting Malaysia’s ambition to become a leading AI-ready nation in Southeast Asia.
