Provident Group and Selangor FC Renew Strategic Partnership for Second Season

Provident Group and Selangor Football Club (Selangor FC) have officially renewed their strategic partnership for a second consecutive season, reinforcing their commitment to bringing business and football closer together.

The renewal was formalised during a private signing ceremony held at Nobu Kuala Lumpur on 21 October 2026. The event was graced by His Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj, the Crown Prince of Selangor.

The renewed collaboration marks another step in the relationship between Provident Group and one of Malaysia’s prominent football clubs, with a continued focus on supporting the club’s long-term ambitions both on and off the pitch.

Partnership Continues Under the Provident Group Identity

The partnership was first established in the previous season between Provident Fiduciaries Berhad and Selangor FC. For the second season, the collaboration will continue under the broader Provident Group identity, reflecting the group’s integrated approach to wealth, financial and lifestyle solutions for individuals, families and businesses.

The renewed agreement was signed by Tan Sri Acryl Sani bin Abdullah Sani, Chairman of Provident Fiduciaries Berhad, and Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon, Chief Executive Officer of Selangor FC.

Also present at the ceremony were Aladdin Mostafa, Chief Operating Officer of Selangor FC, and Dennis Chua Hock Beng, Executive Director of Provident Fiduciaries Berhad.

Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon said the club values the trust placed in it by Provident Group and recognises the importance of strategic partnerships in supporting Selangor FC’s long-term vision.

He added that the club looks forward to building on the existing collaboration to create greater value for both parties while continuing to develop its presence both on and off the field.

Provident Lounge Brings Business and Football Together

One of the key highlights of the renewed partnership is the Provident Lounge at Stadium Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ Stadium).

The dedicated hospitality space provides an environment for corporate engagement, relationship-building and matchday experiences, allowing business and football to come together in a more meaningful way.

Beyond brand visibility, the lounge serves as a platform for Provident Group to host clients, connect with business partners and engage with stakeholders while enjoying the excitement of football.

By creating opportunities for interaction in a sporting environment, the Provident Lounge aims to strengthen professional relationships and encourage closer connections among businesses, partners and the wider football community.

The initiative also demonstrates how sports partnerships can extend beyond traditional sponsorship arrangements by creating spaces for engagement and shared experiences.

A Long-Term Commitment to Sport and Community

The continuation of the partnership highlights the importance of long-term collaboration between businesses and sports organisations.

For Selangor FC, strategic partnerships contribute to its broader ambitions to develop the club beyond its on-field performances. For Provident Group, the collaboration offers an opportunity to strengthen relationships with stakeholders through its association with football and the Selangor sporting community.

With the Provident Lounge remaining a central feature of the collaboration, both parties will continue their partnership into the new season, building on the relationship established previously.

As Selangor FC continues its journey in Malaysian football, the renewed agreement reflects a shared commitment to developing a partnership that connects sporting experiences with business engagement and relationship-building.

The second season marks another chapter in the collaboration between Provident Group and Selangor FC, with both organisations looking to create lasting value through their continued association.
