Saudia Group, comprising Saudia and flyadeal, has made remarkable strides in the aviation industry by securing top global rankings for On-Time Performance (OTP).
According to a November 2024 report by Cirium, an independent aviation analytics platform, both airlines have demonstrated exceptional operational excellence, reinforcing their reputation as leaders in punctuality.
Saudia: Leading the Global Aviation Industry
Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, has emerged as the world’s most punctual airline with an impressive on-time arrival rate of 89.85%.
This achievement follows the successful operation of over 16,300 flights in November 2024. It marks Saudia’s third top ranking in OTP this year, having also secured first place in June and July 2024.
This milestone reflects Saudia’s commitment to operational efficiency, enhanced through its “Shine” transformation program. According to Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group,

He added that the Shine program has been instrumental in driving innovation, improving guest experiences, and streamlining operations, enabling Saudia to maintain its competitive edge.
flyadeal: Setting Standards in Low-Cost Aviation
flyadeal, one of Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing low-cost carriers, has also excelled in OTP rankings. The airline achieved a 90.48% on-time performance rate, earning it second place globally in the low-cost airline category for the second consecutive month.
flyadeal previously secured the top position in September 2024, showcasing its consistency in maintaining high operational standards.
Operating with a fleet of 36 Airbus A320 family aircraft, flyadeal serves nearly 30 destinations, including domestic routes and select international cities in the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa.
Starting in early 2025, the airline plans to expand its international routes, offering more options for travelers and strengthening its presence in the global market.
