LEGOLAND Malaysia Unveils LEGO Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in MINILAND

Football fans and LEGO enthusiasts visiting Johor now have another reason to make a trip to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. The resort has officially unveiled a spectacular new addition to its iconic MINILAND attraction – a detailed LEGO recreation of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, the home ground of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) Football Club.

Launched on 16 August 2026, the new MINILAND Sultan Ibrahim Stadium brings together two things that have become closely associated with Johor: football and creativity.

More than simply a miniature replica, the attraction uses hundreds of thousands of LEGO bricks, lighting, sound and animation to recreate the excitement of a JDT match day.

Bringing JDT Football Pride Into the LEGO World

Located at the heart of MINILAND, the new attraction pays tribute to Sultan Ibrahim Stadium as one of Johor’s most recognisable modern landmarks.

For visitors who have experienced MINILAND before, this latest addition represents another step in the evolution of the attraction. LEGOLAND Malaysia has traditionally used MINILAND to showcase iconic landmarks, cityscapes, cultures and stories from Malaysia and the wider region.

The inclusion of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium fits naturally into that concept while introducing a strong sporting identity.

According to Cs Lim, Vice President of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, the new attraction celebrates an important modern icon of Johor while allowing visitors from Malaysia and around the world to experience the state’s football culture through LEGO.

It is also a reflection of how MINILAND continues to evolve, combining traditional LEGO building techniques with technology and interactive storytelling.

More Than 400,000 LEGO Bricks

One of the most impressive aspects of the new Sultan Ibrahim Stadium attraction is its scale and level of detail.

The model was built using more than 400,000 LEGO bricks, transforming the famous JDT home ground into an intricate miniature football stadium.

But the experience is not designed simply for visitors to look at the model from a distance.

The attraction incorporates dynamic lighting, animated crowd movements, immersive soundscapes and match-day storytelling to recreate the atmosphere of a live football match.

This means visitors can experience a taste of the energy surrounding a JDT game without having to be inside the actual stadium.

For children, it offers an opportunity to discover football through LEGO. For football fans, meanwhile, the attraction provides a miniature interpretation of a stadium that has become an important symbol of Johor’s sporting identity.

Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club, popularly known as JDT or the Southern Tigers, has become an important part of Johor’s sporting culture.

Sultan Ibrahim Stadium represents more than just a venue where football matches are played. It has become a symbol of the ambition, unity and passion associated with JDT and its supporters.

Alistair Edwards, Chief Operating Officer of JDT Football Club, said the stadium represents much more than a football venue and welcomed its inclusion in MINILAND as an opportunity to introduce the club’s story to a new generation.

The collaboration also allows JDT’s identity to reach an international audience through one of Malaysia’s best-known family attractions.

For visiting football supporters, especially JDT fans, the LEGO recreation offers a completely different way to appreciate the club’s home ground.

Football, Creativity and Family Fun

Perhaps the biggest appeal of the new attraction is the way it connects football fandom with family entertainment.

LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort and JDT may operate in very different worlds, but both have strong communities built around passion and shared experiences.

By bringing the two together, the new MINILAND attraction turns football culture into an interactive experience that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

Parents who are JDT supporters can introduce their children to the club’s history and identity, while young LEGO fans can discover more about one of Johor’s most recognisable sporting landmarks.

It is also another example of how attractions can use familiar local landmarks to create experiences that feel relevant to Malaysian visitors while remaining appealing to international tourists.

Exclusive Annual Pass and Rewards

To celebrate the launch, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort has also introduced an Exclusive Limited-Edition Annual Pass & Rewards inspired by the design elements of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

The special pass offers privileges across LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort and selected JDT experiences, creating another connection between the two communities.

Fans can also look forward to exclusive engagement activities and rewards designed around the collaboration.

For regular visitors to LEGOLAND Malaysia and dedicated JDT supporters, these additional experiences could make the new attraction even more appealing.

A New Must-See Attraction in Johor

The arrival of MINILAND Sultan Ibrahim Stadium adds another distinctive attraction to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort’s growing collection of Malaysian and regional landmarks.

With more than 400,000 LEGO bricks, animated match-day scenes, dynamic lighting and immersive sound, it is clear that this is not just a static LEGO model.

It is an experience designed to capture the emotion and atmosphere of football while celebrating Johor’s identity.

Whether you are a die-hard JDT supporter, a football enthusiast, a LEGO fan or simply looking for family-friendly things to do in Johor, the new Sultan Ibrahim Stadium at MINILAND offers something different.

Most importantly, it shows how a local sporting landmark can be transformed through creativity into an experience that can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.

For LEGOLAND Malaysia, it is another milestone in the evolution of MINILAND. For JDT and its supporters, it is a unique celebration of the Southern Tigers and the pride that surrounds Johor football.
