The Curve Brings Coastal Charm to Raya with “Alunan Syawal di Kampung Pesisir”

This festive season, The Curve invites Malaysians to step away from the city’s hustle and rediscover the simple joys of Hari Raya through its 2026 campaign, “Alunan Syawal di Kampung Pesisir.”

Running from 20 February to 29 March 2026, the celebration transforms the mall into a nostalgic coastal village inspired by the charm of traditional Malaysian seaside life.

Located in Petaling Jaya, The Curve’s Centre Court has been reimagined into a picturesque kampung pesisir setting. Visitors are greeted by an elevated Rumah Kampung structure, rustic sandbar swings and serene décor that evoke the warmth of balik kampung moments by the sea.

The tranquil backdrop reflects the spirit of gratitude, togetherness and heritage that defines Hari Raya.

A Musical Milestone: “Samba Raya”

One of the most exciting highlights this year is the launch of The Curve’s first-ever original Raya song, “Samba Raya.” Specially commissioned for the campaign, the song adds an emotional and celebratory rhythm to the festive atmosphere.

What makes this debut even more meaningful is its authenticity. “Samba Raya” is performed by local buskers who have been part of The Curve’s community for over eight years. Their involvement reflects the mall’s continued support for grassroots talent while strengthening its bond with the local community.

According to En Jazmi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Boustead Properties Berhad, Raya is not just a celebration but a meaningful time to express gratitude and strengthen relationships.

Through “Alunan Syawal di Kampung Pesisir,” the mall aims to transport visitors to a simpler era where family bonds and shared moments are truly cherished.

100+ Vendors for a Complete Raya Experience

Shoppers can look forward to an extensive festive marketplace featuring over 100 vendors throughout the mall. The Curve continues to champion local SMEs, offering a diverse selection of traditional and modern baju kurung, baju melayu, festive treats and home décor.

Adding to the festive convenience is the return of Pazar Ramadan, hosted in collaboration with Natra Event. This dedicated bazaar offers a wide variety of berbuka puasa delights, making it easy for families to shop and prepare for iftar in one vibrant destination.

Whether searching for the perfect Raya outfit or delicious local favourites for breaking fast, The Curve provides a comprehensive shopping and dining experience under one roof.

Community-Focused CSR Initiatives

In the true spirit of giving, The Curve has lined up meaningful CSR initiatives that emphasize unity and compassion.

Through Ihya’ Ramadan with SURIA, 1,000 packs of Bubur Lambuk will be distributed to shoppers and the surrounding community. Additionally, 300 food packs will be shared during a communal breaking-of-fast session to celebrate togetherness.

The mall will also host a special Berbuka Puasa session for the children of Rumah Anak-anak Yatim Damai Kuang, sponsored by tenant Flint. Complementing this effort is the “Kongsi Kindness” Donation Drive, where shoppers can contribute essential items at a dedicated booth in Centre Court.

Participating vendors such as Abayalubnaa, Iman Adam & Love Trisha and Monstr are also stepping forward to sponsor festive necessities for the children.

Cultural Performances and Family Activities

Visitors can further immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere with cultural showcases including Tarian Zapin and Ghazal performances. Younger guests can join the Kilauan Lebaran Workshop at Centre Court and Kids Art & Craft sessions at Level 2, making it a family-friendly celebration.

At The Street entrance, shoppers can participate in the “Berbuka Puasa @ The Curve, Jom!” digital activation, featuring a Spin & Win Wheel to help decide on iftar options from the mall’s wide range of F&B outlets.

Rewarding Raya Shopping

The Curve Gift With Purchase Raya

To make the celebrations even more rewarding, The Curve is offering exclusive Gift-with-Purchase promotions. Shoppers who spend RM300 will receive a set of Raya packets, while those spending RM800 can redeem a glass plate along with Raya packets.

A minimum spend of RM1,250 entitles shoppers to a Dessini rice cooker plus Raya packets, while stocks last.

Through its vibrant décor, original music, extensive shopping options and heartfelt community outreach, “Alunan Syawal di Kampung Pesisir” captures the essence of Hari Raya.

More than just a festive campaign, it is an invitation for families to reconnect, celebrate heritage and create lasting memories in a setting inspired by the beauty of Malaysia’s coastal traditions.
