Dreaming of a trip Down Under? Snap up a deal at Tourism Australia’s virtual travel fair today, featuring exclusive fares and discounts across flight, hotel, tour, car rentals, and experiences.
This is the fourth edition of the highly anticipated travel sale and deals will be up for grabs from now until 10 March 2023.
The announcement comes on the back of Tourism Australia’s latest campaign, ‘Come and Say G’day’, which combines recognisable and beloved icons, stunning scenery, and welcoming Aussie characters, reminding the world why there’s nothing like Australia.
As part of the online fair, Tourism Australia has teamed up with five major airlines – Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, AirAsia X, and Scoot to offer fares starting from just RM858**.
Additionally, tourism products ranging from hotels to adventure and leisure experiences have come on board to extend exciting offers – such as discounts up to RM2,000 per couple for group departures* and 20% off for 2nd passenger on tour packages*.
Deals can be booked online, offline, and over the phone with our key distribution partners (CIT, Sedunia, Apple Vacations, Forever Travel Service), online travel agencies (Klook, Traveloka), accommodation providers (TFE Hotels, Hyatt, The Ovolo Group) and other partners (THL Online).
The “Great Australian Deals” fair will be promoted across online, print, and social media and amplified via partnerships with airlines, State and Territory Tourism Organisations and key Malaysian distribution partners.
Having helped achieved over 10,000 bookings for partner airlines in previous editions, this year’s campaign aims to facilitate aviation recovery and help boost Australia’s visitor numbers to pre-COVID levels.
With travel back on the agenda as borders reopen last year, the influx of Malaysian travellers to Australia has been steadily rising. 51,830 Malaysians travelled to Australia in 2022 (year ending September 2022), with 62% repeat leisure visitation. Total expenditure by Malaysian travellers equated to A$157.8 million, of which A$12.4 million was spent by leisure travellers alone.
