Get ready for the highly anticipated premiere of The Penguin, an HBO Original limited series, debuting on Friday, September 20, on HBO (Astro Ch 411 / Unifi TV 401) and HBO GO.
The eight-episode series will release new episodes every Monday, starting September 30. In addition to the premiere announcement, HBO has unveiled the official key art for the show.
Starring Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (better known as “The Penguin”), this series continues the epic crime saga introduced in filmmaker Matt Reeves’ The Batman, which became a global blockbuster. Developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc, the series focuses on Farrell’s character, who played a pivotal role in the original film.

The Penguin Behind the Scenes
The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, and Lauren LeFranc, who also serves as the showrunner and writer. Craig Zobel directs the first three episodes, with Bill Carraro also contributing to the production.
Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, The Penguin is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios. Daniel Pipski is also an executive producer for the series.
